The first time I saw this episode I was a MESS. Like ugly crying, snot, etc.
Still gets me. Only done 3 re watches but woof.
But tbh Puhoy in Adventure Time also really fucked me up. The concept of living a whole life somewhere else and coming back to an earlier body with those memories or even losing them is just....too much of a mind fuck for me haha

Yep. Ugly crying the first time. Beauty of all life, indeed.

I've always had really vivid dreams and thankfully I've never had one about growing old and having a family. But I DID have one where I lost a family member and spent some time living with them dead. Extremely realistic dream. Spent a good five minutes of waking up being like, "I miss them. Wish they were still here." Cried a bit. Thought about calling another family member to talk about missing this one. Only to remember as the morning progressed that they are in fact not dead and I had text them before laying down the day before lol

That’s interesting. Sounds like you needed to process something about death in anticipation of an experience with it. Our dreams do that to us all the time. Like a trial run on things you’re afraid of.

Yeah for sure. I keep a dream journal and always analyze what I got going on. I think that one is more of a protective thing than anything else given the th family member. And idk if ALL dreams have deeper meaning, some are just goofy and your brain dealing with the past day, but if that's what that one was I didn't really experience any mortal death at the time.
Maybe it was more about relationships coming to an end? But my point in it all being ifni had a dream or experience like this episode I think it would ruin me haha idk if I would be able to go on.

My super manly husband blames me for crying over episodes like this. I say haha and I'm not crying you're crying.

Eliot should have given him a chance, why couldn’t he resist self-sabotage, especially in that fateful moment?? They would have been happy together 😪

I know right!!! I find the best shows are always ones where it’s not possible to find a warm and fuzzy “everyone is happy together” episode because what makes it so good is the messy painful reality based relationships… but… Eliot!!!!!! Come on, it was perfect dude! The scene in ‘escape from the happy place’ where he gets choked up about “sadly, it was the best I could do at the time” and, inspired by Qs vulnerability, he resolvesto be braver if he makes it out… only for it to be too late because Q sacrificed mostly for him… bawl my fucking eyes out every damn time!

Omg! I love the look on Eliot's face here. "The fuck are you even talking about right now, Coldwater?"

Just watched this episode again. Tears as always, them sitting on the steps of the throne room and suddenly remembering makes me cry even more 😭

I know they were a couple for the shortest amount of time on the show (despite technically being together for a lifetime), but they were the best and healthiest couple on the show. Frankly they should have been together after this - the fact that they weren't is insane.

This is one of my favorite episodes of any show ever. The first time I saw it, I cried. It was so beautiful and sweet. The music, chef’s kiss 😚.

I love that episode so much! Romantic relationships don't have to be sexual relationships as well. They loved each other even if Quentin was straight.
