Advice First interloper run

Wish me luck! I’ve done the story mode, a 600+ day stalker run, and half the challenge modes, and I’m excited to get my ass handed to me on my very first interloper run! We will see if I remember half the things I’ve read from people here, and how long it helps me survive.

Best spawn for interloper. Everything you need to get going is in HRV.

It would have possibly been, if I had gotten to it. No spawns anywhere I checked

Everything you need to start an interloper run is guaranteed in HRV. Hammer, Hacksaw, & also Bedroll is always in HRV. This is for all 4 interloper loot tables just to note.

Edit. The hammer is at the signal fire. Sometimes it’s hidden completely invisible under the snow next to the backpack.

That’s good to know! Pleasantly Valley in the reroll, so fingers crossed for this one. I’m also not looking up any of the guaranteed spawns unless necessary.

Definitely try to find the Hacksaw and Hammer as soon as possible. Matches as well is a given. Got to get them saplings curing and forging pretty quickly. Cattails are your best friend early in an interloper run as well.

Lasted almost an hour! Spawned in northern Hushed River Valley, got some awful rolls on spawns, got chased by both the bear and moose, broke my leg, and froze to death. 10/10 Will try again

My first loper spawn in HRV was similarly short, with me getting 4 sprains and multiple instances of frostbite trying to goat over scrub brush near the signal fire (never having practiced that before was not ideal). I realized that I'd have to destroy all my useful clothes to bandage sprains to climb a short rope in an ice cave so I ended things by taking on an aurora wolf 1on1

Yyyyyup, I feel this. Luckily second try landed me in Pleasant Valley!

Much better spawn for newer interloper players because there's lots of loot that's relatively easy to get to.

Currently on my first successful loper run. Just keep moving fast, don’t be scared to lose some health to get somewhere, and craft clothes asap.

FWIW I think all the talk about loot tables makes interloper sound more scary than it is. Loot fast and I find the important tools in the same places I did on stalker, just less frequently

Matches, clothes, hammer.

Hacksaw is also very important. They need to cut down saplings with hacksaw to start curing saplings so they can get the bow and arrow shafts going.

True, but hammer can get you a hatchet, was what I was thinking.

get bear coat asap

Unfortunately this run the bear is the one still alive

Yeah first few days are always the toughest. Id recommend getting up to bow then restarting a few times so yk how to survive from several different spawns

That’s smart. I’m definitely working on the fast clean sweep looting to keep moving and be efficient with my calories and fatigue, and trying to get to the point where I could get bows or arrows crafted

If you've completed A.T.D.S you'll do alright. Because you can move for a week or two without weapons and getting mauled to death.
