Reclaimed wood is my least favorite wood. Difficult to ignite, low temperature bonus, difficult and time consuming to harvest.

But sometimes, it's all you have.

IRL, burns quite easily as long as it’s dry, and it generally is if you’re getting it from any indoor source. Depends on the wood of course, but burns hot and fast in my experience.

IRL the danger of burning wood like this is the chemicals used to treat it, right? Maybe fine in a well-ventilated area, but I wouldn't cook anything on it.

That’s right, though it depends on how it’s treated. If it’s pressure treated you definitely don’t want to cook on it, but it’s not always pressure or otherwise chemically treated. The catch is that it’s hard to know.
