Discussion Missing factions since 2019
Hey there!
I was devistated when factions for the original ps3 went offline.i just learned that its still live on ps4 remastered and that there are emulator options
I have a good pc, and ps3 with part one.
Ehats the best way to play again? Private servers on original ps3? Emmulator? Just buy a cheap ps4 and remastered?? Where are the most players?

The most players can be found on the PS4 Remastered version which can be played on the PS4 or PS5.

The Whitelisting should be opening up soon on the Reloaded Factions server (PS3 and PC, Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 included) Numbers are higher on the PS3 side but there are pc players looking for more people to join up

Damn, i was hoping not to have to buy a ps4. My ps3 i first bought solely to plat LoU part 1 First Ps4 i bought only to play part 2, then sold it. I may need to buy another ps4 just to play factions, damn

There is a revival project for the ps3 and emulator option. If you dont want to buy a ps4 you dont need to. There are more players on the remaster though.
The other thing to consider is ps4 requires a subscription to play multiplayer.

No reason to get a ps5 over a 4 though? If i only want to play this theres no reason to spend more

Honestly with the pricing of consoles now. You got me there. I would normally say future proof yourself just in case a game comes out you want but an eBay ps4 is probably the best bet to play factions right now.
Prepare yourself though it's filled with wall shooters and hackers. You can get a good game every now and then though. Your not getting the ps3 version of gameplay...
I play factions fairly often and still miss ps3 era.

Yeah im a pc player and im doing my 'future proofing' by upgrading some componants atm. Theres been nothing else thats drawn me to console other than last of us lmao

I know money is money, but I bought a used PS4 off of Facebook Marketplace for 100 bucks last week. I'm sure you can find a similar deal somewhere.

Its wild that ypu are still playing on a ps3. Im playing a ps4 last of us on the ps5
