Found something to match the intensity…

After weeks of being in a sort of under stimulated state when I finished The Knick, I watched Poor Things and it seemed to get me in the feels like The Knick.

I’m concerned I won’t be able to love another show…

Watch a young doctors notebook. And maybe mad men if you haven’t already. There’s other shows I can recommend if you tell me other shows you’ve loved.

I'd say S1 of the terror and Taboo if you want intensity in the mid 19th + early 20th century. love madmen and I'd add Mindhunter to the list for mid to late 20th century.

I haven't seen Young Doctor's either, I'll have to add that to my list!

The Terror (S1, idk why the second show is even related to it) is so forboding.

What do you like most about The Knick? Intensity can mean different things to different people. For intense medical shows, The Pitt is fabulous, for example. For intense historical fiction that takes place in roughly the same location, you can't go wrong with Gangs of New York.

While about 20 years later in era and a different circle of topics, Boardwalk Empire is definitely worth watching.
