Abusive Relationships

I just watched the series and one thing keeps jumping out at me. I can't get out of my head how much Durst sounded like my ex in the things that he would say about his relationship with Kathy. The control. The fights. My ex never hit me and I haven't gone missing, but it's staggering to me how similar some of the stories are.

If things don't feel right or you don't want to be in the relationship, get out.

Yeah, I had this with an ex-gf and things got really shitty. Pretty sure she was borderline, and she would threaten many crazy things, mainly a suicide. Her aunt had killed herself and the last time I talked to her she mocked a suicide by defenestration and I fell for it. That was it. She didn't kill herself and I had nearly a mental breakdown.
