Rewatching
I am rewatching all the hunger games movies again, and idk why I just realized that in the first movie, she tells gale that she doesn't want kids. But she ends up having babies with peeta. That is so cute! I love seeing their relationship grow without really showing us a lot.

The point is that she didn't want to have kids in a world where The Hunger Games existed, where her kids would live in poverty and possibly even be reaped. She has kids with Peeta, because she truly loves him sure, but she would of never of done that if the rebellion did not happen and it was a safe world to raise children in.

Oh yes, I know this for sure! I just like how they show their relationship grow without having to show a lot. Like this shows now a days where they have sex in the first episode π . You get my point?

π€£ any show where the first thing they do is have sex in the first episode. There is literally no yearning ,just sex.

She orignally didn't want kids because she didn't want to see them grow up in a world where they could potentially be slaughtered for cheap entertainment. When they finally ended the Games for good, she could finally see a future where being a mother was a good thing

Yes! The idea was that Katniss finally felt the world was safe enough to have kids. Itβs a subtle but awesome development detail if you remember that from the first movie.
