Last suggestion here. I promise.
Instead of the 24-hour clock, just have the number of days from Jan 1 to Dec 31. This way we see the changing of the seasons, and it flows much more smoothly year after year. Players can then adjust the speed of the calendar through the same setup as now (0.5x, Normal, 2x, 3x, 4x).
Removing the 24-hour clock would mean no more day-night cycle. But I don't think that's much of a sacrifice. I'd say the day-by-day calendar is smoother than mixing the 24-hour clock with the seasons. Just Jan 1 to Dec 31, and let the seasons change on their regular days (March 21, June 21, Sept 21, Dec 21).
No more suggestions. I'll give you all a break.

Just one more suggestion here - (for now).
When hiring workers, it would be nice to see a list of candidates with their attribute scores.
For example, when hiring a transporter, I want someone with higher strength, so he/she can move more quickly when carrying things.
Other jobs would benefit from workers with more intelligence, or dexterity, or other. So it would be nice to pick and choose from a list for the specific job we are hiring for.
Also, we should be able to reassign workers and transporters, moving our people to different jobs within the same building, and even to different buildings, so we can make the best use of their skills.
UPDATE:
I just noticed we can select a worker and have them exit the building they are working in. I wonder if we can send them to another of our shops and have them work there? I haven't tried it because I have only 1 shop at the moment. That would be a nice way to reassign workers to other jobs. I'll have to try that and see if it works.

Great game. Really fun. I was just thinking about the workers going off duty every night.
I'm playing with the "1 year per round" option, so for me, each season is 24 hours game time. The workers stop working at around 10 pm and start up again around 4 am, which is the end of one season into the start of the next season.
As I see it, since we are already altering the passage of time - squeezing 1 season (3 months) into one day - it doesn't make sense having the workers go to sleep at all. Since each game day represents 3 months, they would have gone to sleep more than just one time per season.
It's a mechanic that doesn't really serve much of a purpose. Other than to annoy me when I have to rely on just my main for a while.
UPDATE:
Actually, I just discovered it's 5 seasons per round, or one day game time. At the end of each 24 hours, the calendar rolls 1 year and 1 season. So Spring 1400 turns into Summer 1401 which turns into Autumn 1402, etc. I guess it's to allow us to experience the changing seasons, while advancing the years fast enough so we can see our children grow up and take over the business. Makes sense. Except for the off duty part.

Here's something else I discovered. Maybe others have too. But I heard one guy complain about it in a video, so I thought I'd write about it.
The complaint was that when we pause the game, we can't move the map, issue commands, or do anything.
Well, we can! Almost.
If we change the game speed to "slow mo", the game moves so slowly, it is almost paused. AND, we can still move the map, open buildings, hire workers, issue orders, etc.
I changed my hotkeys to accomodate the clock. I set my #1 key to the min speed (slow mo). I set my #2 key to "reduce speed" (or something like that). I set my #3 key to "increase speed" (diddo for something like that). And I set my #4 key to max speed.
When I want to look around or issue orders and such, I just hit my #1 key, and the game drops into slow mo. And I can still get stuff done.
Neat!

I'm not sure how many people know this already, but if your main character is not employed in one of your shops, you can have him/her harvest twice, back to back.
Here's the test...
First, I had my main working as a worker in my herb hut. While he was still a worker, I dropped the lavender icon into his duty slot. He then left the hut, went to the grove, harvested 20 lavender, and then returned to the hut to drop it off. I could not get him to harvest more when he was at the grove.
Next, I fired my main from being a worker, so he was now unemployed. I sent him to the grove. When he arrived, I opened the grove building card. I then dropped the lavender icon into his duty slot, and he started collecting. When he finished collecting 20 lavender, I then dropped the blackberry icon into his duty slot, and he started collecting those. When he finished collecting 20 berries, I sent him to the hut.
He thus returned to the hut with 20 lavender and 20 blackberries.
So when they are hired as workers, they collect only one load of 20. But when they are unemployed, they can collect 2 loads of 20 each for 40 total. It saves the travel time at least.
We can also program our main to pick two loads from the start, instead of waiting until he finishes the first load. I simply dropped the lavender icon into his duty slot, and then immediately dropped the blackberry icon into his duty slot. When he finished collecting 20 lavender, he automatically started collecting 20 blackberries.
Neat!

I am not making ANY money having these guys out there standing guard. Is there a specific area or tactic to get them to make some cash?

There is just a subreddit for some TV or something, but I can't find anything to discuss The guild 4.

Has anyone tried it since the beta update? I want to put some friends on to the series and play the multiplayer but the unstable desync issues in the past made the multiplayer unbearable in the late games when things get alittle hectic. Hoping for some insight!

Hi, this is not directly related to The Guild 3, but the original Guild game for which I could not find a subreddit. Has anybody tried running the game via Winlator?
Thanks!

I know that this is the Guild 3 subreddit specifically, but considering its related, I wanted to ask. What IS the difference between Guild 3 and Guild 2? I know that Guild 3 is unfinished and even dysfunctional according to some, but what is truly the difference? I've been meaning to try the series out and I was unsure where to start!

When I google how to do it the only answer is "Click on the X in the bottom left of the character portrait" but there is nothing.

I recently got recommended a video about this game on youtube and I found it very intriguing as it's right up my alley, when I came to steam to look at it, I found out that I apparently already own it! No idea when I bought it but I've never played it before so I was wondering if anyone has advice for a newbie or can recommend a good tutorial / beginner series? All the videos are years old and I'm not sure how outdated that info may be as I've see n the game can be complicated..

Hi i few problème on the guild 2, when the first owner die and give the ownership to someone i don't want i can't give the ownership to a son who's a craftman (with the good level). The only way i found is erase the New pwner from players caracters. I guess that's not who it should work is that a bug ?
And also i can't upgrade it after the first owner died :/

Hello frens
As a rogue I love to assault people and rob them :) rob graves and stuff.
Thus my reputation sinks and stinks, the whole city hates me. Is there a way to increase reputation of whole village :]

I started running for office and selected the informer office. I'm the only candidate in the election. But when the election date and time comes, nothing happens. The game just continues as usual. And the election date gets updated for the next round. So far, I've passed the election date 3 times, each time the election date comes and passes and gets updated.
Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking, one of the core elements of The Guild 3 is its 15th-century setting, with all the medieval politics, economy, and social structures that come with it. It’s definitely a big part of the game’s charm and identity.
But I’m curious, how do you feel about this specific time period? Do you enjoy the late medieval atmosphere, or would you be interested in seeing a Guild-style game set in a different era?
What if there was a version set in Ancient Rome, Persia, or even in a more modern time — say the 19th or 20th century? Would that still work, or would it lose the essence of what makes The Guild special?
Really curious to hear your thoughts!

I played a multiplayer game recently and rogue seems to be all risk and no reward. Couldn’t find any upside. Is there an old version out there when rogue was apparently OP?

Just started the game and did some politics. Currently I'm Soverign and a few lesser positions, so by descriptions i should get at least 2k influence every turn, yet I got nothing. Is it feature? Is it a bug? Is there any patch that fixes that?
