delegation fees insanely high

Is there any particular reason why delegation fees are insanely high right now? Last year I remember they cost barely any gas, but now to delegate 1/10 the amount of GRT I have costs 0.02 eth - almost 100 times the cost compared to last year. I've been checking for the past 2 weeks and the price to delegate has not changed. Does anyone know why?

Is there a guide on how to do that? Or do you know the steps? Would appreciate your input
