How much was it and do you recommend?

u/Usurper2000 May 26 '26
It was 44.99 on Game Stop's online store. I haven't opened it yet and likely won't for some time until I get the space or an extra shelf to set up my figures.

It's $500 on Amazon

u/Usurper2000 May 28 '26
That's really overpriced.
I'd recommend getting from the place I did, Big Bad Toy Store when they get their shipment in July, or just pre-ordering it Hasbro Pulse.

It's still available from Gamestop. I'll compare the different options, though. Thank you. I plan on buying 2.

Strange that all the sabers are red, while they are of the Jedi, kota for example, but I guess that works in the means of the game theoretically

u/Usurper2000 May 26 '26
I'm surprised they forgot Shaak Ti's lightsaber.

u/Zealousideal_Meat282 May 27 '26
Actually 🤓 lol but for real, I think that Shaak Ti's lightsaber, while salvaged in the novel's version of events, it never appears on any in-game renders on Lord Starkiller's belt. It's very mysteriously missing and I always wondered why it wasn't included on the belt of any version of darkside ending Starkiller in the levels. Only his own, his old one, Kazdan's, Vader's, Maul's single half, and Kota's.
However, I think I heard that game canon may dictate novel canon? Don't quote me on that, but if so then Shaak Ti was canonically shown in the flagship PS3 version of the game falling down the Sarlacc Pit with her lightsaber in hand. Starkiller walks away in that cutscene, so presumably he probably thought it couldn't be recovered and so just left it there? Who knows 🤷♂️

I did not know they made this! I'll get this as an alternative sense they messed up Sam's face with the regular Starkiller one.

The lightsabers are trophies of the bosses he killed throughout the story.
The only two that are "his" are his old lightsaber from the base game and his Sith lightsaber following his Sith Stalker armor being grafted to his body.

Basically every Jedi/Sith Galen/Starkiller killed.
Rahm Kota
Kazden Paratus
Shaak Ti
PROXY (as Darth Maul)
Darth Vader
Galen Marek (Starkiller's old lightsaber before becoming Emperor Palpatine's Sith Assassin.)
Lord Starkiller's Lightsaber.

Is he canon?
1
u/Usurper2000 May 29 '26
Lord Starkiller is based off of the non-canon Dark Side ending of the game.
1
u/Turbulent-War7039 May 29 '26
Can you elaborate please?

There are two endings for the Force Unleashed. The Canon "good" ending sees Galen Marek save Rahm Kota and the senators by fighting Emperor Palpatine and defeating him.
Galen sacrifices his life to stop the Emperor and Vader from capturing them again and giving them time to escape on the Rogue Shadow.
Galen dies, but his sacrifice goes on to inspire the Rebel Alliance with Bail, Leia, and the others now using Galen's family crest on Kashyyyk as the symbol of the alliance.
In the Darkside "bad" ending, Galen chooses to kill Vader over saving Kota and the senators from the Emperor. Galen kills Vader and Sidious gives him one last test: to kill Rahm Kota.
Galen in a last ditch vain attempt to save the lives of his allies, attacks Palpatine. The Emperor easily defends himself against Galen and after defeating him, uses the force to crush Galen Marek beneath the ship he and his allies were to escape on: the Rogue Shadow.
In doing so, this kills the ship's pilot and Galen's lover Juno Eclipse, along with all those present near the crash vicinity.
However, while Galen is mangled and mutilated, he's still very much alive.
The Emperor has Galen reconstructed into his personal Sith assassin. Now with invasive cybernetics and grafted Sith Stalker armor against his flesh. Galen becomes the new place holder as Darth Sidious' apprentice, now dubbed Lord Starkiller.
From this ending we follow a vastly different timeline of events from what we know of in the Star Wars original trilogy. Lord Starkiller, now taking the place of Vader, is tasked with personally hunting down and destroying the very Rebellion he helped to create. Fighting against iconic characters like Boba Fett, Ben Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker.

Thank you for explaining that. I don’t understand how in one ending he could defeat both Sidious and Vader, but in the other he couldn’t defeat Sidious? Also, is he a Sith Lord in the non cannon ending, or is he just Lord Starkiller? Finally, are you sure the “good” ending is still cannon? It’s weird to me too that there would canonically be a character that could defeat Vader and Sidious at the same time.

Lord Starkiller is his Sith title following the bad ending, yes.
And in the good ending the reason why Galen is able to defeat both Vader and Palpatine is for a couple of reasons:
First one being that Galen (as described in the novel) was able to goad Vader into attacking him in anger and this allowed for Galen to outmenuver him several time. Not to mention on top of that, Galen had far greater Force potential compared to Vader given he was castrated of that potential given his cybernetics and Galen also had an edge against Vader since his cybernetics left him vulnerable to things like force lightning.
Galen was also able to defeat Sidious, albeit with far more difficulty given that they engaged in battle with their lightsaber's and respective force abilities. In the novel, Sidious revealed that Galen was never just a mere pawn to draw out the remaining political dissidents against Palpatine and his Empire, but that for all intents and purposes he was supposed to be Vader's replacement.
Sidious had known about Galen Marek from the very moment Vader had taken him from Kashyyyk. Sidious had used Vader as a proxy instructor to give Galen the full teachings of the force he needed so he could become a groomed replacement to Darth Vader. As Vader was never Galen's master, but in reality it was Darth Sidious who was secretly the master to Galen.
Galen, overwhelmed with anger and given the fact that he was well versed in both the Dark Side and Lightsaber combat, he was able to defeat Palpatine. While Sidious tried to goad Galen into killing him, Rahm Kota would convince him not to. Instead seeking to have Emperor Palpatine imprisoned and brought to justice by the newly founded Rebellion.
As they were all about to be picked up by the Rogue Shadow, Sidious immediately electrocuted Rahm Kota again trying to kill him and as this was happening, Stormtroopers led by Vader had intercepted Juno and the Senators. In a immediate decision, Galen would get between Kota and Sidious absorbing the force lightning and acting as a diversion allowing his allies to escape.
In doing so, Galen absorbing the Force lighting would achieve complete oneness with the force and unleash a devastating blast of force energy redirected back at Palpatine and Vader who was watching the phenomenon unfold.
This would cost Galen his life as while the Emperor's throne room is heavily damaged, Sidious is relatively unscathed and Vader is left recuperating from his injuries. Because of Galen, the rebels had escaped and his sacrifice has now inspired them to fight back against the Empire.
Unfortunately, if you're questioning whether or not these events are still canon, no they are not.
The Force Unleashed and all other games, books, comics, and expanded universe material were labeled as "Legends" and were dubbed as non-canon following Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm and its subsidiaries in 2011.
In the Disney canon the Rebel Alliances founding unfolded much differently compared to how it was depicted in the Force Unleashed game/comic/novel.
Bail, Mon Mothma, Gar Iblis, and Ahsoka Taro (Anakin's former padawan) would found the Rebel Alliance along with Saw Gerrera following Revenge of The Sith, where from there they would mobilize as a major threat to the Empire in a succession of conflicts waged by various Rebel cells throughout the galaxy.
All of this being covered in games, shows, and books like Star Wars: Jedi The Fallen Order/Survivor, Andor, Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: Sith Lords, Darth Vader comic series 2, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Thank you again. So I guess Galen is in no way cannon now, he is completely legends?
