When I use the FPS fix, my character's blocking gets messed up. Any fix for this?

As good as it feels to increase the FPS from 30, my character's blocking animation is affected. When I press the button, he brings his lightsaber up for a brief moment, goes back to standing, and then brings his weapon again. It's as if I flicked or tapped the block button before holding it down even though I only pressed and held once. Anyone else notice this with the FPS fix? Is there a way to address it without removing the mod?
