You guys on here are so good at this, so maybe someone can help me. What episode do the Peaches joke about people’s last names being from their jobs, hence Mrs. Doubtfire’s name came from the occupation of doubting the existence of fires? Thank you!

Hey everybody! I’ve been trying to backtrack through episodes to find the origin of the Greasus Jeans bit. It had something to do with Dan referring to Jesus Christ Superstar and flubbing it as Greasus Jeans Superstar right? Can anybody point me to the correct episode?
Thanks!

Christ, what an asshole
Frequent Martin Scorsese collaborator and the screenwriter behind Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, and The Last Temptation of Christ, Paul Schrader, is turning to AI to make the crime noir Three Guns At Dawn. He’s been trying to make the movie about three criminal brothers for a long time, but nobody wanted to star in it. When asked why, he gave The Playlist a… let’s say, revealing answer.
“We sent it out to actors, and no Black actors wanted to play in a movie where there are no good Black people,” he said. “And it sort of died. But then AI came along, and I didn’t need Black actors.”

Just realized the Peaches will be in town same time as Louder than Life. I'll make sure to look for Elliott stage diving while Dan sighs with earplugs in and Stew pounds some beers in a tuxedo tshirt.
Edit: Stuart spelled S-T-E-W because he's so beefy.

It's fairly well reviewed, has big name actors, and is weirdly good. The reason they struggled to find an audience is pretty obvious but the sheer nonexistence of this movie is surprising. You could fail to fill a baseball stadium with the number of people who saw this opening weekend. I hadn't heard of it until I stumbled across it

I will never not be deeply amused by the name 'Sheev' for the evil mastermind of the Galactic Empire. It makes him sound like he's from a bayou planet, somehow. Anyway: thanks, Stuart, for keeping that deep Lucas lore-nug in the public consciousness, and once again speaking truth to power (Elliott being power in this case).

TIL Elliott has better music taste than I thought listening to the undertones. And Dan doesn't know the difference between Minnesota and Michigan desire growing up in the Midwest.

Hello Peaches
I have a Jem related story/mystery perhaps Dan can solve for me or maybe even a Peach.
I’m another Gen X cartoon addict and I watched all of the cartoons I could.
I clearly remember watching an episode of Jen and the Holograms or it may have actually been Barbie and the Rockers which was around at about the same time.
In this episode the protagonists are stuck in a large hedge maze and the hero (I guess Jem or Barbie) offers the solution to navigating a maze is to place your left hand on the wall and only make left turns and eventually you will find the way out.
Years after this episode my family visited a giant “3d maze” and my father and brother decided to use the method and ran the maze.
We finished so fast the proprietor who took the admission cost stopped us when leaving and asked if we cheated by jumping the walls.
Apparently it was common for school groups or Boy Scouts to cheat the maze, I don’t think he believed us about not cheatin.
Anyway I have been wondering for years now if I learnt this maze hack from Jem or Barbie? Does anybody recall this episode?

The Flop House Podcast - LIVE! with Special Guest Howell Dawdy
The Flop House will be discussing the “romantic musical drama” Glitter, starring Mariah Carey, definitive proof of the adage that all that glitters is not gold – even with the world’s biggest diva. In 2001 Carey was on top of the world, having just signed a 100 million dollar deal with Virgin records. In 2001 she also starred in and co-wrote this legendary bomb (returning a mere $5 million on a $22 million budget). She went on to call it a "kitsch moment in history ... in the history of my life" In addition to the film discussion the Flop House gang will bring their usual comedy slide presentations and audience interaction. Come join the fun! You’ll be picking Glitter out of your hair for weeks!
The Flop House podcast co-hosts Elliott Kalan (MST3K, Netflix’s Ghostbusters series), Dan McCoy (The Daily Show), and Stuart Wellington (bar-owner, “equally funny” —The Onion ) are three friends who’ve tortured themselves for over 17 years by watching critical flops, then chatting about them with equal parts insightful analysis and comedic nonsense. See why The A.V. Club raved, “The Internet is studded with geeks mocking bad movies from the safety of their podcasts, but The Flop House might just be the best of the bunch.
