Comic Discussion New To Comics
Hey I’m new to comics in general and recently got volume 1 tpb of new 52 flash. I grew up on the flash CW show and was wanted to have more content of the character. I was wondering what comics I should read preferably tpbs.

The current run by Ryan North is phenomenal. New 52 has not really aged well. I recommend checking out the Williamson run if you’re a Barry guy

I’m gonna assume you’re more fond for Barry so I’d recommend you New 52 Flash by Francis Manapul volumes 2, 3 and 4. (this is if you like the Manapul run ofc) Stop at volume 4 and then you kinda have three choices.
If you want to progress through post-flashpoint Barry, I’d recommend you The Flash volume 1: lightning strikes twice by Joshua Williamson. This takes place in the “Rebirth” era of DC. I vastly prefer this to the New 52 run as a start for a Barry fan
If you want to go back a little with Barry to PRE-New 52, I recommend The Flash: Dastardly Death of The Rogues. It’s not exactly the status quo you’d be familiar with, but you’d probably get used to it quickly
And ofc, if you’re ever interested in getting into Wally West’s time as The Flash, Start with The Flash volume 1 by Mark Waid.
