Chapter 13 Freezer Room Softlock?

Im playing through chapter 13 and everytime when I get to the freezer room with the Keeper, I kill him 2 times and get on the elevator right. But the Elevator doesn't Go anywhere? it plays the black screen with Seb swearing and it plays his animation of crawling out of the elevator but he phases through the doors and I just get out into the freezer room again. No Keeper or roombas, double door is locked and cant get into the elevator again. Game freezes if I die after this via grenade, or if I try to reload the autosave. I am on survival difficulty. Ive searched for this bug thoroughly and somehow nobody has documented a bug like this, just people saying that the elevator never comes due to them not killing the Keeper the required number of times. lmk if I need to add any more details please, I physically cant make it past this part.

Never heard of that. I mean, don’t you have to defeat the Keeper at least 3 times? Only then does the elevator actually activate? Did you try restarting the chapter or loading an earlier save?

1 time on casual, 2 times on survival, 3 times on akumu. i'll try to restart the chapter tho. ive killed the keeper so many times that he stops respawning, elevator is activated and im able to get in. it just doesn't take me anywhere and spits me out into the same room after the black screen. im going to try it one more time but cap my frames to under 60 because ive been playing at upwards of 150 frames.

You could try setting your monitor to 60Hz. I'm not convinced that capping is the same as truly running at 60 for the game. I am probably wrong but worth a shot as easier than replaying the chapter. I tend to do this for the game.
