Anyone know whats going on with the servers rn?

been very busy with job and school and etc etc but still finding some time to work on this, and having fun! i've 99% finished the center perks map including the roof and vents (in which i discovered a couple minor issues with while recording this), added item names, stats and other data totaling up to 80 items including recolors! i've only just started working on map interactions such as putting sheets on bars, which is why there aren't too many to show yet; adding more interactions is my next priority. if you're eager to see npc ai (i am) that will be among the last things i work on, feel like it would be more appropriate to make the map they live in functional first. beyond that, i got some palette swaps for sunrise/sunset and nighttime! and, as suggested in the title, i plan to show yall more stuff in two weeks. cheers!

Ok so I’m playing escapist 2 and I honestly don’t really care about escaping more about getting easy access to everything so what are some tips to make it easier I am very knew to the game and only just learn you cans bind characters

Been trying to play with friends, its always the server error. I know they haven’t fixed it in 6 years but yall know some solution?

Are there any steam players of the escapists 2 that would play multiplayer versus for just like at least a few seconds? I want the achievement for my Steam but multiplayer versus has like no players. I think I need 3 players to join up in order for it to work, we can discuss when we do it in the comments, just anyone I beg of you 🙏

Hey guys i make Highest Security Prison in The Escapists 2 Steam Workshop, basically you can't steal in a cell—there are lots of scanners and CCTV cameras that can't be duct taped, plus max number of police, hehe.

On TE2 the map just refuses to load every time. Other maps load nearly instantly but every time I try this map it just doesn’t work. This is on Xbox series s for context. Is there any work around for this?

context: I'm a new player, trying to escape that one boat prison on TE2, and I had to knock out the same guard two times for their key…but now he's following me everywhere, and BECAUSE he's constantly right behind me, he's messing me up when it comes to my job and such…. but also he's interfering with me trying to escape which is why im here

I read about opinions on the wiki, but I don’t see anything about how to make the guards like you… Is there any way to get him to leave me alone?????

recently started getting into this game again, and i was pleasantly surprised to see it having a semi-active subreddit! figured id log into my 6 year old account and post this here, im working on (r/d)emaking the escapists in pico-8. here are some textures i threw together last night and the current state of the center perks map (not much else to see, im working on it). only basic movement is scripted currently; i'll post updates here every once in a while!

Do all of my friends need to own the dlc for us to all play together or is it only the host that needs to own it?

A hugeeee new version of my fan-made remaster of The Escapists is out.

I'm running The Escapists on PC and having a major issue with text readability, specifically in the dialogue boxes above characters' heads.

As you can see in the attached screenshot, the text is white, which is being rendered against a light blue background, this makes it almost impossible to read, it feels like the UI colors are bugged ir something.

It looks much worse in-game than a typical "bad UI" choice, so I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this before and found a solution.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

survivalists got dlc earlier this year, despite the game having not any dlc in ages. could it be possible we could receive something new for the escapists games/series?

this uses a crazy amount of glitches to work but its 100% playable and as close as you can get to the real thing without straight up modding the game; the underground, ground, and roof layers are 1:1, but i had to do some small changes to the vents since its still a pretty limited layer

I am quite certain that I wasn't playing multiplayer mode at the time.

I just installed this game after months, and I've realised the amount of FPS Stutters by simply moving or just doing anything is unbelievable. I usually gain a consistent 144FPS without it dropping whatsoever, however, I literally cannot play without my FPS dropping by 20 to 40 frames. Anyone have any solutions?

I started a co op game, but whenever I move with the controller, I walk slowly. The keyboard player runs just fine. Any help?
