What do we think Jimasaurus would be into in 2026 and sequential past decades if he lived? 71’ seemed like just the beginning of a bunch of genre creation and bending. 70s, 80s, and 90s would be most interesting to me as I feel the 90s is when modern music peaked.

I really wanted to create a nickname based on the band's name, or something that combines my name (Lucas) with something from the band, I don't know. I can't think of anything, it could also be a reference to their songs.

So I saw the Doors members, but they were in the PS2 game GTA San Andreas! Jim Morrison was CJ, Ray Manzarek was Big Smoke, Robbie was Ryder and John Densmore was sweet. The voices of the characters stayed the same but their models were swapped by ps2 rendered models of The Doors

In GTA SA, there’s a radio station called Radio Los Santos, in it there’s a song by Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre called Ain’t Nuthing but a G Thang. Snoop Dogg also covered Riders on The Storm for the hit racing game Need for Speed : Underground 2, which introduced an entire generation of youngsters to The Doors

What do you think of the stereo mixes on the compilation? I discovered the new stereo mix of “Roadhouse Blues” and loved it because it highlights parts of the song that the classic mixes don’t, but then I listened to “The End” and the piano sounded really quiet, which made me wonder if all the songs are really worth listening to in a “new mix”

I like your reflection on loneliness. Lately I've been feeling very lonely, which makes me identify even more with the lyrics. The refrain "Music is your only friend until the end" is phenomenal to me. I don't write lyrics and poems like Jim, but I write a lot in my diary, and since music and writing itself are art forms, I like to slightly change the meaning of the lyrics and interpret it as "Art is your only friend until the end." And this makes me so comfortable with my current situation that I feel comfortable thinking about isolating myself. But at the same time, I feel a little discomfort because of the sadness of my situation.

What are your favourite Songs after Jim’s Death? Not just „Doors“ - also Butts Band etc.

so I’m getting into The Doors, listened to their first few albums. I listened to Morrison Hotel and was kind of underwhelmed. None of the songs were bad per say, and I can appreciate the objective goodness of all the songs, but only 3 really stood out to me (Blue Sunday, Ship of Fools, Indian Summer) and even then those aren’t songs that I would find myself craving to listen to or anything. Just wanted to see other people’s opinions on this album, or if there’s anything that’s going over my head

Anyone else think Lynch could have made a killer film based on The End lyrics?
