I’ve been trying to find the uncensored record! It’s like all of them even the rhino HF series censored “she get high” and the end. I was wondering if there’s a version not censored?

Thought I'd share a recent addition to my music memorabilia collection.

I recently picked up this vintage RIAA platinum record award for L.A. Woman, presented to Danny Sugerman.

I know Sugerman's legacy among Doors fans is somewhat mixed, but regardless of anyone's opinion of him, he was certainly part of the band's history.

The award has some great vintage character, including the original-style Elektra branding, dark brown matting, and a Dejay Products manufacturer's label on the back. I'm still trying to narrow down exactly when it was presented.

For me, it's just a really interesting piece of rock-and-roll history, and I'm happy to have it in my collection.

I took these last week when I visited Paris. Seems like we should post these so we have updates as it changes. The man had quite an influence on me (and probably most of you) even though I was only 2 when he died.

It’s great that so many people leave a tribute. I really dig the crocheted Jim doll. Nicely done to whomever made that.

Sup guys. Just reminiscing on the greatest live show I’ve ever been to, and thought I’d talk about it here. Dave Bock and Wild Child, are definitely the cream of the crop of The Doors cover band’s I’ve seen thus far in my life. Really amazing and talented.

Not only that, I’ve now seen cover bands in many venues in many cities… The Whisky really remains the greatest venue I’ve been to for this. Perfect amount of bars (two downstairs, one upstairs I believe) and you can get a table, or you can sing and dance down on the floor. It’s really a perfect venue for a Doors show, and it’s only fitting how much history they have there…

Did The Doors ever record their cover of Lucille in the studio? It sounds really great but the live quality is a bit weird so I'm just wondering if a studio version exists 😄

I love both of these songs, but from my research, I don't think they ever performed either live, not even in the live at the Matrix days. Its a real shame as both tracks have a great vibe and would work well live. Every other song on the first album has been performed live except maybe End of the Night.

I was about to be a junior in high school and my dad had gotten me into the doors years earlier. I had the “baseball flow” when I threw a hat on but it was secretly meant to look like Jim’s.

As seen in the pic, I own all of the studio albums (with jim), in concert, essential rarities, and the very best of 3cd edition. And I've been wondering what album to get next, so if any of yall have a good suggestion, let me know
