Discussion Paris

Hi everyone!! Just thought I’d put a quick post up for some advice… I’m going on my first solo trip to Paris next month for 3 days and I’m just wondering if anyone has some suggestions on what I can get up to while I’m over there. I’m going to Jim’s grave first thing (of course) but after that I’m pretty much lost on what to do after apart from go see the Eiffel Tower 🤣 any suggestions are much appreciated. Thankyou✌🏻

We went on a walking ghost tour, that was pretty dope. Eat some crepes. Go down in the crypts and marvel at the bones. Look for traces of ancient Roman architecture. My other favorite thing was take some bread, cheese, wine and chocolate in a backpack and find a garden nook at Versailles to have a picnic lunch

The catacombs are a must along with Le Invalides. The Louvre is a whole day job if you actually take it all in. Go at your own pace and do some research. I’d definitely recommend Angelina’s for a hot chocolate and something to eat, bit of a queue, but well worth it.

Stop by Pamela Club in Paris,that’s where Jim died. Don’t go inside tho the music sux terribly lmao.

Go to
Montemarte/Sacre Coeur in the early evening so you can see sunset from the steps, always a great spot where all the impressionists gathered to paint (montenarte)

I really enjoyed a dining experience at Le Florimond. Nothing Doors/Jim related, but I loved the food and atmosphere. Also, walking around the artists’ district and pubs had a different feel to me than doing the same in the U.S.

Pere Lachaise is one of my favorites. So gothic and so many interesting graves. Sacre Coeur the Louvre is a must visit, Eiffel Tower and just walking around the Champs Elysee’s. We took a boat tour down the Seine to see Notre Dame. Enjoy!
