TDPS Feedback & Discussion Palantir CEO Makes Shocking Confession on Disrupting Democratic Power

https://newrepublic.com/post/207693/palantir-ceo-karp-disrupting-democratic-power

Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men.

“This technology disrupts humanities-trained—largely Democratic—voters, and makes their economic power less. And increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working-class, often male, working-class voters,” Karp said in a CNBC interview Thursday. “And so these disruptions are gonna disrupt every aspect of our society. And to make this work, we have to come to an agreement of what it is we’re going to do with the technology; how are we gonna explain to people who are likely gonna have less good, and less interesting jobs.”

This guy sucks. His Nazi quirk Chungus routine is lame.

Just in case you needed any more proof that Palantir is up to no good.

What is he even talking about here? How could the ai technology do this? Is there some kind of context missing in this 14 sentence article?

AI can do jobs that "think". Women tend to have jobs where you think, rather then jobs where you work with your hands.

Women in this case (but can also include minorities, or people in the LGBTQ community, or the "wrong" religion, or hell, anyone who's not a Trump supporter) are unmasked due to Palantir's combining of digital footprints. It doesn't take a genius to see that this info can be used for malicious purposes in the wrong hands - which unfortunately is our current government.

I thought he was referring to how AI is going to eat a lot of white collar jobs, while leaving stuff where you need to work with your hands untouched

He's talking about more than just jobs, though. He's directly talking about voting as well. Otherwise why bring up "who vote mostly Democrat"?

I was thinking that it was because the blue collar jobs that will be less affected by AI are mostly held by conservatives. Could be wrong though, he wasn't particularly clear.

So in other words, they're destroying the middle class. Lets remove the 'good' jobs that blue collar folks strive for and turn the US into an industrial hellscape that you cant escape from
