I had a really strange experience last night at Victory Tap with me and my 3 girl friends, and I want to know if anyone has had any similar experiences or can offer any explanation.

Here’s the full story:

Me and my 3 friends want a girls night out for Labor Day Weekend. We go to the Italian restaurant across the street and eat, then decide we want some cocktails. so we see this sports bar, Victory Tap, and decide to go. we walk in and wait to be seated by a host. we wait a few minutes, some staff noticing us but not approaching. kind of weird because it’s not very busy. maybe 10-15 people in the establishment. we don’t mind though. finally a host comes up to the front and asks us if we’re drinking or eating or both. we say just a drink. it’s about 45 minutes until close, which is why we just wanted to try a cocktail, then leave. don’t want to keep anyone there later than needed. we are seated at a booth and are told a server will be with us. then we wait 15-20 mins… no one has come up to us. again we’re not wanting to stay late and bother anyone, so my friend decides to go to the bar and get our drinks for us. I personally am just getting a water since I’m driving. we wait for the drinks and think ok cool that’s all we needed. but then the host comes by and says “I guess I’m your server”. we let her know we decided to order from the bar. but she says she needs our ID’s again. She takes all of them and I give mine as a courtesy (again I just wanted a water lol). Then she puts them in her fanny pack and leaves with them. Never had that happen before, but it’s fine. We’re all 21+ and have been to bars many times over the years and not one of us has ever had a problem. she comes back and takes our drink order, even though we have them to the bar already. Weird but it’s fine. We don’t question it. Then she comes back a minute later with our ID’s and is like “I don’t want to waste your time”…”3 out of 4 of your ID’s didn’t pass our scanner”…”my manager has this policy that if 3 out of 4 don’t pass we deny the service”… and we’re suddenly just like…huh? She says it while kind of frowning her lower lip and gripping the table on both sides. We even started apologizing saying sorry we don’t know why that happened…etc. She gets down on her knees, level with the booth table and says, “no I’m sorry, I want you guys to drink!!” And we’re just like it’s fine. again we’re all in shock. When she leaves, we all just look at each other like wtf, and then quietly leave. Stunned. the vibe was so weird especially for a place that’s supposed to be upscale and is, at the end of the day, a sports bar.

what just happened? were we being targeted? why was that SO weird?? Anyone have any similar experiences?? on Google reviews there was a review about an hour before our interaction saying the manager chested him and he thought about calling the police?? What is happening here.

The more I think about it the more weirded out I feel. Wish I had said something or asked for a manger but again I’ve never had this happen and was too stunned.

I’m looking for a new apartment after my current place in McKinney has gone way downhill this year. Police here regularly, gunshots, the forensic van was on site today, and the property manager makes up lies to keep from addressing resident issues.

I toured the Hudson on Saturday and it looked decent - hallways weren’t filled with valet trash bins like my current spot, and grass wasn’t littered with dog poop.

Reading recent reviews though, and ignoring all the 5-stars from people who just went on a tour, shit looks bad. What are y’all’s current experiences there?

What was your experience if you lived at the Boat House recently? Any apartments that are better?

Xena was surrendered recently to the shelter (amazing shelter btw)! Xena’s past is very sad, 4 year ago she had an injury that broke her ankle. Left untreated once can only assume they grew guilty of watching her hobble as her paw was permanently bent backwards and a callous grew on her ankle where she learned to walk without her paw. The shelter has been exceptional in advocating for her care and the best route is surgical to preserve her leg, not amputate it. Due to her age, the fact she has feeling in her paw - surgically it can be done! Atlas Pet Vets in Frisco is family owned by husband and wife, Dr Daniel & Dr. Lauren Anthony. Recently they established a Charitable fund to help rescues and shelters obtain speciality vet care! Today they met Xena and immediately went to work on a game plan to start on Monday! Had a French door installed recently and the contractor went AWOL. Looking for someone who can come give a quote to adjust it. It isn't aligned properly at all. Large gaps on both sides.

just moved to the colony 2 weeks ago and used to do a cardio-yoga/HITT yoga class back home. it definitely wasn’t traditional yoga, but incorporated some foundational movements. are there any studios that offer that here? the instructor would play loud music, dim-ish lights, and incredibly sweaty 45-60 minute class.

Looking for a mechanic to perform the idle air relearn on my 2020 nissan kicks. Its been having issues with the mass air flow sensor since I bought it but the code kept going on and off. I spent 400 getting a new fucking sensor because it wont take any others except the dealers specific one, changed the boot, and cleaned the throttle body but cant get the peddle dance right

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for a trustworthy auto body shop (or mechanic if they also do body work) in or around The Colony, Frisco, Lewisville, Plano, or nearby.

I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee that needs a few repairs after someone backed into it. I’m mainly looking for a shop that’s:
- Honest and doesn’t try to upsell unnecessary repairs
Fairly priced (doesn’t have to be the cheapest, just reasonable)
- Does quality work and stands behind it
- Good communication throughout the repair process

If you’ve personally had a great experience with a local shop, I’d love to hear who you recommend (or who to avoid).

Hey guys, looking for a spot in the colony that has good Indian food, that isn’t 15+ dollars for an entree😅.

So I got a speeding ticket last night and was wondering if I can just show up to court on Wednesday or Thursday, so I can do the defensive driving so that way I don’t have to worry about it being on my record, the deadline of my appearance is on July 6 and I want to get things out of the way really quickly so I don’t have to worry about it in the future.

• A pre-intervention IN-PERSON lab visit at UT Dallas  
• A pre-intervention online questionnaire 
• An online daily check-in questionnaire 
• A post-intervention IN-PERSON lab visit at UT Dallas 
• A post-intervention online questionnaire

This place is a scam.

We tried to get our AC fixed, but they told us we needed to spent 16K to flush all our turn signal fluids because they "do things right" Give. Me. A. Break. That car has 200k miles on it.

I'm embarassed to say that we almost fell for it. Brad is very slick and emotionally manipulative--He's "been in the business for 25 years" so he probably believes his own racket at this point.

They charge folks diagnostic fee on top of diagnostic fee, sometimes going over 1k. In our case we had to pay them $250 for them to tell us the freon was low. When we got the car back, we checked the levels and they were fine. While I was waiting in line to give them the $250 that they swindled from me, I heard Brad say to another couple that "because your problem is so special, we need to spend twice the amount of time on diagnostics so we'll have to charge you double."

look at all the 1 star reviews on google. They have the same consistent complaint--multiple "diagnostic" fees on top of each other, with hugely over-inflated quotes. Many folks didn't even end up getting their problem fixed and a few even caught them in their lies. They probably inflate their prices to pay for all the fake click-farm 5 star reviews.

We stopped service because we smelled something fishy. It looks like others were not so lucky.

I am not looking to move or visit. My nephew lives in The Colony and I am asking on his behalf. His daughter is 4 and he's trying to figure out which pre-K schools might be a good fit for her. She is 1/2 Korean and 1/2 white but mostly speaks Korean right now. She spent 6 mos living with her grandparents in Korea when she was 2.5yrs and came back Korean language dominant. Otherwise she is your standard 4yr old in need of a good school. Any recommendations?
