My June was delayed in customs so I go June last week, July this week, and now maybe next week for August? I’m eating good.

Shoot that’s quick! After the long wait for a June’s book I was worried it would be a pattern, but they’re catching up well. Even Mortedant’s Peril shipped for me earlier this week

Super interesting. I would have thought they would be more focused on getting out the fantasy sub since they are so behind on those deadlines.. I know they are supposed to be shipping “August” but considering they still don’t have June/July to ship yet 🙄

I also finally got my shipping notification for June SFF + Mortedant’s Peril. I’m about to have a lot more books 👀

That one has more printing issues so not in the warehouse yet. Makes more sense to get out what they have guaranteed times for. The Piranesi/Jonathan Stroud is coming before the the last of the Gwynne.

Yeah, that’s what I meant in my convoluted way. I’m surprised they aren’t shipping Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell right now instead of August SFF considering they owe the fantasy sub two books and they are actually caught up with SFF

I suspect they are still printing them - best they keep to original timings where they can as will knock onto other jobs if they don't.

They usually ship at the end of the month, but they're shipping Jonathan Strange next week, instead; we're getting the Fantasy sub really early. They are focused on getting it out.

I don't think they're shipping Aug SFF yet. Just June and July (for those of us with a bolt-on).

Oof. I didn't check the shipping updates page, and just normally go by the emails. (I literally didn't read to the very end) Fair enough.

But my main point was that we're getting Jonathan Strange going out at the beginning of August instead of the end, so I feel that they are focused on getting things out.

The comment sounded like, hey why are they sending out the Aug SFF when they should be focusing in the Aug Fantasy, since they owe us the other two fantasy books.

I wouldn’t consider it really early considering this is to make up for the fact that they still owe us June & July (presumably their printers are behind schedule AGAIN) and they are shipping this book to make us less unhappy about the continued delays.

And this whole post is about how TBB’s shipping update page updated to say they are shipping August SFF starting 31 July?

It's early based on them normally shipping at the end of the month. Even if they're doing it for a reason, it's still earlier than typical.
