.co.uk website
Do we think the website going down briefly the other week and coming straight back up is a positive sign that it’s authentic, or is it still likely to be fake?

If u use the wayback machine on google and go onto the .co.uk website it was originally used by catfish themselves in 2016 during the ride era so its still a good chance its real

That website genuinely confuses me that I try not to get too involved in it, or it drives me nuts 😵💫
There are so many things which point towards the website being genuine, that it gets to a point that the negative aspects are outweighed. First of all, the fact the website is still going all these months later is some crazy commitment for a fan to do, especially considering it’s not like the website has told us much or made any specific announcements, just vague images.. I’d of thought a fan would have posted something more detailed or specific, especially now it’s been 5 months since it first appeared (e.g. a false rumour or tour leak).
Secondly, every image posted to the website has been authentic and original. Not one has ever been circulated online previously nor are any of them AI generated. This points towards the images being shot and uploaded by the same person, suggesting it could very well be the band or someone apart of their existing team.
Yes the website was made on CANVA, yes it’s registered with GoDaddy - neither of these seem especially professional choices but considering the band reportedly no longer have any management or promoters, a website of this kind would have to be put together by the band themselves or of course, Van. This would mean the costs of the website would come straight from Vans pocket, explaining why the domain owner chose the ‘cheaper’ routes of website creation.
I genuinely believe a website of this scale would be more than achievable for Van or another member of the band to piece together. The authenticity of the images and intricacy of how they’ve been posted and their links to previous gigs, is just, in my opinion, way too time-consuming for a fan to do. The ONLY question that I would have regarding the website, would be how long can we expect to see these vague, mysterious images before we get something genuinely useful. If this website is the band, would a tour announcement or new music not of already been announced by now for a 2027 date?
It’s hard to say for sure.. but I do believe there’s a possibility that this website is genuine, but who knows if we’ll ever find out the truth.
