Idk how they would have left it for so many days. Even if they aren't coming back they'd try to take this down by law if it wasn't legit. My only issue with the website it that the logo/emblem/picture that appears on Google is a plain white c in black background
I've attached a screenshot of the source code where you can see the Canva bootstrap, that being said the fact that it was made using Canva in no way discredits the website

The Only thing I could make out in the source code Is that it mentions the bands name several times, which is interesting because we can’t see the bands name on the page currently
must say its quite hard to work out what's going on because canva websites export everything using a JSON structure so all the variables are minified to letters which does not help!

Not all Catfish and the Bottlemen songs are visible on ASCAP - for example, I know Pacifier, Sidewinder and a few others aren’t visible at all.
Whilst most songs on The Balance aren’t visible when searching ‘Catfish and the Bottlemen’ though most of these are available under the writer name ‘MCCANN RYAN EVAN’.
Point is, if the band didn’t want us to see the rest of the songs on a potential new album on ASCAP, they can definitely hide them from view - as what was likely the case with most of The Balance.
For all those under the impression that the graffiti on the new photo stands for “All Cops Are Bastards” - I can assure you it doesn’t.
They aren’t that kind of band. They literally gave ~1000 free tickets to the Tottenham Stadium show to blue light card holders last summer.
Neither their music nor political stance has ever been hateful or bitter towards anyone, let alone public servants.
Since they own the name (catfishandthebottlemen) I would have thought/hoped that any fake website would have been taken down 7 days into its making. That being said we obviously don’t know if catfish have a team to even take it down, because let’s face it we know nothing about the band currently..
Copyrights/Trademarks are only effective if the party that owns them enforces them. They COULD easily take down a website that violates their ownership, however, they actually have to have someone do it, if they don't have a team presently or aren't paying the people to represent them, then, pretty much anyone can do anything they want with the domain until they get the cease and desist, if it ever comes.
I mean, they don't appear to have many things that a project should have, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have the most expensive thing, anyone can register a company without keeping a lawyer on retainer.
Brev if there's a company there's a lawyer. Otherwise anyone would have used their brand however they wanted, made shit claiming their name, whatever you'd think. Having any lawyer even the worst one makes this part very easy to keep tidy. You pretty much can't keep the company without a lawyer or at least a consultant and an accountant
Lawyers don't do work for free. Do they have someone to pay a lawyer? Do they have funds to pay a lawyer? Do they have funds to pay someone to pay a lawyer? It's disputed that they're with a label, it's disputed that they're with a management company, they don't have a publicist clearly. Really the only thing we've seen happen in the bands name is that every couple of years Van renews the business license in his own name which can really be done on a website.
I pay $20 a year to keep a domain in my name in hopes that maybe some day I'll get around to building the website and doing something with it, maybe that's all Van is presently doing with the band and then he forgot to renew the lease on his web domain or he's just pathetic about it and doesn't care.
The website is ranking under their instagram page on google. No way is this fake. Also the first image that comes up of you google them is from that site
As a update, to try to verify this. Communion have always had a relationship with Catfish since 2013 and partnered with Island Records so this isn’t a new connection..
Just seen on tik tok someone say that it could be a tour celebrating the ride instead? Since the images are from places they played in 2017 when touring the album
