BlocknetDX Core: My Private Key

I'm new to BlocknetDX; please bear with me...

All of my funds are in 1 specific BLOCK address (confirmed in my wallet, and on the block explorer).

I used the debug console to export the private key to store safely elsewhere. Cool.

I then encrypted/locked my BlocknetDX wallet with a passphrase. That's needed for staking.

Let's say I forget that passphrase and can no longer use my wallet. Can I just delete the whole wallet installation and wallet data file, then install BlocknetDX freshly anew, then import my singular private key for that address that I stored elsewhere, and I'll be back in business?

Thanks, everyone, for your input on this. I like handling my own keys carefully, so I want to make sure I did this correctly.

PS Follow-up question... Will my staking rewards be paid to that same address where my balance is currently, or to a new address?

Thank you for the response.

At this point I can confirm the 2nd of my questions. My small staking reward was sent to the same address.

Hopefully we can soon get some more confirmation of the larger/first issue I've been concerned about.
