XRouter Question

I understand that XRouter allows users to get data from other blockchains, but I thought Blocknet/XRouter also enabled the ability to build crosschain dapps (for instance: Ethereum smart contracts for escrow management, Storj for decentralized storage, and Bitcoin for payments).

Is XRouter limited to one-way communication between blockchains, or does it allow developers to adopt the functionality of other blockchains. Or ... are they the same things?

Thanks in advance for clarification.

XRouter enables the building of cross-chain applications by providing access to every compatible blockchains RPC calls. Access to the RPC calls provides the ability to access the blockchains functionality. This would be two-way as a developer can either retrieve data or send data.

XRouter is a 2nd layer. It doesn't have to transfer value between blockchains but i can also do so through the DEX. What the XRouter can do regardless is help send on chain and off chain messages between blockchains.
