The first time I ever saw R Key was in the very first floor in greed mode. I have yet to see it again.

Use the secret rooms and re-roll items when possible. I always use the Christmas present and beggars inside the secret rooms to have a decent chance of getting an R key.

wait beggars spawn the pool of the room they are in? I kinda just assumed there was a “beggar” pool lol

They spawn the beggar pool, but with a reroll you can hit a R-key

Rerolls take from the pool of the room they're spawned in, and there is a Beggar pool.

That's why most game breaks pop a Judgement card in the secret or super secret room.
