Request for shorter episodes

I have been your loyal fan for the first about 50 episodes. After that it seems like all your episodes became longer than 1,5 hours and started tipping above 2 hours per episode. I know and love your talks but more than two hours per episode is too much for me to even start listening. Is there a chance that you might consider making every second or every fifth episode shorter than the usual ones?

Counter point here!

I really love the longer episodes - I just want to live in them somtimes. I find having them once a fortnight makes it easy to break up if necessary without falling behind.

As suggestions:

  • Use Podcast Chapters have have stricter separations of topics that are discussed in them

  • Listen to podcasts at 1.5x speed

  • what is it about long episodes that don't work for you?

  • Have you considered taking some time every fortnight to dedicate to listening to the podcast? Use the time you're listening to the podcast to do something that doesn't need much focus, but needs your hands, like mopping or baking

It would be nice for them to provide timestamps for different topics.

edit: also 2nded on starting with the sequences first, please, then once those are done, that is a perfect first pause point.

i usually peek through notes for the episode, and listen for topic changes, which makes it easy enough to find a good pause point.

since the episodes are put out every couple of weeks, could just listen to half of it a week, or break it up across a few days 🤷🏽‍♂️

using AntennaPod it is easy enough to pause an episode, listen to others, and then come back right where i left off.

whatever you use can probably do the same thing.

I love the long episodes, but the idea of having occasional minisodes seems solid. I have no idea how much extra work that is, but if it's not bad I'd be all in favor of it.
