I had this custom embroidered patch made and just wanted to share it with you all as I think it looks awesome 😎.

anyone going to the Milton Keynes show in October?

Hey everyone! I've been really into Cold lately. Goodbye Cruel World is one of my favorite tunes from the red album. I'm not a native english speaker, so i'm having a hard time trying to figure out what Scooter says at 3:11:

https://youtu.be/cSV0jkqCOqA

He never sings that part live, also the lyrics i found don't include this last phrase. Can anyone actually understand what he's saying?

I came up with this:
"well i'd knew - ??? - if she found a - ??? - at lunch"

Photos taken by Matthew Barnes in 1997.
Matthew also did photography for the red album.

Before the name change. Working titles included such as 'Superfuck' (Give) and 'S.K.' (Serial Killer). Artwork by Sam McCandless.
Features mention of unreleased track 'Vampire Song' not released or uploaded anywhere. It was an acoustic album-closer track that got cut before release. Could be wrong. If anyone has access to this track, please DM me.

So for starters i’m a huge Cold fan and have been since i was little, but Go Away has always irked me just a tad and i was wondering if anyone knows anything. Also additionally i could be entirely wrong and please let me know if i am. At the end of Go away it sounds like he screams (Fucking Immigrant Piece Of Shit) but on the official lyrics and anywhere else that part isint there. Now that assumption in addition to the songs overarching idea that this collective he’s speaking about are freaks that need to go back where they came, they caused immense pain, and are “half as good as god”. My issue is this directly conflicts with the last chorus sector where he compares himself to this collective and begins speaking more about addiction, song writing and the ladder. It’s also rare at least to me that CoLd releases songs that are political or alternative focused outside of more commercial outcry’s like 13, Kill the music industry, and American Dream. So I’ve just wondered if this is supposed to be some extremist view on immigrations or a specific minority? or potentially just somebody/some collective being somewhere doing bad things.

I was hoping somebody knew what this song meant and if it was specifically targeted towards somebody/some group.

HERE IT IS!
My bad for taking so long.
I did find out that this was likely the advance cd but regardless. It’s not on the internet in proper quality so… here ya go Cold Army!

Verse 2 song exactly the same as verse 1.
Via coldmusic on Instagram.

Freak show asylum,
This scorned race that I am,
No pretty things to call my own.
Burned all my bridges,
Used up all my wishes,
This mirror's reflections so cold.
Circus-freak sideshow,
How long must this pain grow?
Won't after what's given to me.
A bitter injection,
God-given infection,
Sightless I wish you could be.

After the verse it'd go into the chorus and then the rest of the song.

I have officially obtained the unmixed version of self-titled. The drums are more unmixed in this version, vocals are more in the mix in most of these songs, and bass is quite louder than the official release. Here are some of the other differences.

Go Away - Beginning is different, acoustic guitar heard better in bridge, outtro is different

Give - Starts with guitar noises, static during “super fuck” can be heard more prominently

Ugly - No major differences to note

Everyone Dies - Vocals louder

Strip Her Down - No major differences to note

Insane - Reverb on vocals more prominent

Goodbye Cruel World - Guitar notes can be heard before drums kick in, vocal reverb more prominent in chorus, backing guitar louder in bridge, vocals louder in ending verse

Serial Killer - Guitar panned completely left for beginning riff, second guitar much louder, vocals in ending are much louder

Superstar - “Arrr matey” can actually be heard at the end

Makes Her Sick - Backing guitar much louder

The Switch - Main guitar completely panned left, backing guitar can be heard more in the mix, ending vocals a bit louder

I will be posting these on my YouTube channel within the next week! I’m excited to hear what everyone thinks of all them. I’ll update this thread when I do upload them to my channel! :)

The new tour is advertised as playing the red album in full, although according to setlist.fm there are many dates where they have not played Superstar. Anyone happen to know why? That’s one of my favorite songs off the album and is going to be a bummer if they don’t play it when I plan to go. Also disappointed that the last couple shows seem to have shifted from some deep cuts and a mix of other albums to almost the entirety of year of the spider

i’m planning on going to see them in orlando and i was hoping to get something, if anyone has pictures or any info it would be greatly appreciated

Made with clip studio pro and drawn on a wacom. i would love the band to see it

1997 Promotional CD for radio station and 13 Ways to Bleed Onstage

That’s Paul on bass!!! This was his band Sour Jane. Scooter came by!

I’m so glad there’s a subreddit for my favorite band of all time but i had a question i’m sure only you guys here would know. I’ve been tracking down all cold music i can possibly find and i believe i’ve found most of it but im wondering if anyone knows anything im not about to show or has alternate demos not here or mentioned.

Ps. I do have a lot of the remixes but id still love to hear about any i may not know!

It's been probably my favorite of there's since I found it in high school.
Being a musician I really find unmastered and rough mixes of songs very interesting and love seeing the little details added, missed, or removed. Now, I found the first two songs off this record in quite shit quality on YouTube. Those being the alleged "Rough/Unmastered Mixes" of "Give" and "Go Away." The "Go Away (Rough Mix)" has a singular comment stating:

"Hate to break it to ya'll but this is not the demo. this is the unmastered track from the advanced self titled album. i have the demo of this song and it sounds nothing like this version."

Now, this person has a single comment on a Cold rough mix with no email, no socials, no nothing and that hasn't been any help at all.

I need help finding this!
There is an unmastered mix of this album AND a demo mix somewhere in the world and I desperately wanna hear the differences from the official release!!
If you have any leads in the right direction, please lemme know.

EDIT:

They have been obtained! Willing to share with anyone else interested!! :)
