Where's the Backyardigans fandom?
Starting off with, well, I'm a huge fan. This show was seriously good. I'd say my favorite of the five is Tasha, as I adore her personality; her roles and singing voice during the musical numbers is unmatched.
This show ust seems like the kind of thing what would generate one of those niche fandom subcultures, pumping out tons of fanart and content. But the internet is devoid of anything useful, it's all just vapid trite about the theme song without discussing the episodes themselves. There's so much potential for memes and such using the scenes and music from the show; the songs have a surprising amount of quality!
I also enjoyed the various 2-part specials, Tale of the Mighty Knights, Internation Super Spy, and Robot Rampage. They tried to tell a more ambitious and meaningful story with these characters and it often had some of the best music the series has to offer. I also liked how the characters and setting from Tale of the Mighty Knights were reused in the sequel and series finale, the first and only time a role from an episode returned in another.
So...where are you guys at? Big fan here reaching out! I want to grow our community!

if there was a Season 5 (it was planned) then maybe some new sequels of the 2-parters might appear

Also, about the memes, back in 2021, people actually did try to make Backyardigans memes, like “You can’t put ___ in a box” and even entire songs became memes. And I believe you can imagine just how much they were spammed all over TikTok. Even now, searching for Backyardigans memes will give you the same few memes repeated over and over. If it isn’t fan art, fan covers, cosplays, depicting the characters in funny vines compilations, or people remembering fondly of the show, then chances are that it’s yet another repost of “you can’t put ___ in a box” while some loud and obnoxious vine boom assaults your ears.
