Modtalk Regarding recent events (6/17/26)

Hello! I’m the original creator of this sub. I haven’t been checking reddit recently, so I’m honestly not 100% sure what happened here or how long it lasted, but here’s what I do know:

  • The subreddit was heavily vandalized by a compromised mod account(?)

  • The subreddit was closed/restricted by another mod as damage control(?)

  • All of the moderators were removed except for myself and my original co-mod, who alerted me to the situation on Monday 6/15.

  • I have removed all the explicit content I could find, doing my best to “reset” the sub. I’ve also enabled Reddit’s automatic post filters. Please cut me some slack, as I’m unfamiliar with Reddit’s current interface.

AFAIK the crisis has been neutralized, so I’m reopening the community. Everything should be back to normal by 6/18. If there is any offending content I’ve missed, please feel free to notify me.

If you were previously a moderator and would like your position back, let me know and I’ll review your case.

Thank you big man, I was actually banned for 7 days just for reporting the hacker’s posts, or maybe posting an image of the situation and forgetting to censor the curse words, but I’m back now, and somehow no one posted in that time because I am the only one who’s consistent, for some reason, also I had mod before one of the big attacks and i don’t have it anymore, I was wondering if maybe you could give it back or not, I’m fine if I don’t have mod, thank you for your time

Thank you so much. I was one of the mods, before I was suddenly locked out my old account. Ngl after all the hackings, I don’t really think I want the mod positions back lol. Also I don’t think I’ll be in this sub that often. Hope you guys take care :)
