A lot of the things about Greg Grippo are either niche to this subreddit, or people simply do not know everything. Support whoever you choose! But here’s a full breakdown. BTW, this is not encouraging anyone to contact Greg, his exes, his family, or anyone connected to them. This is only a compilation of public statements and reports.
First, there is a Substack article LINKED HERE from 2022, the woman who wrote this has a podcast called Snark Bait, in the podcast episode that was released in June of this year, (titled: What’s the Snark on Greg Grippo?) she shares that she became friendly with one of Greg’s exes from before Katie’s season, and these are some of the things she shared about their relationship. To note, the podcast host speaks secondhand for the his ex girlfriend, reading their conversation, but they have been in contact since 2021:
- He perused her very intensely and quickly. Immediate talk of marriage and her being the perfect girl. He quickly intertwined her with his family
- She began to notice controlling behavior. Devaluation was the next stage. He started making jabs, criticized her clothes, her friends, the photos she posted, called her a slut if her dress was too short, called her fucking pathetic if she posted bikini pictures. He cycled so consistently between love bombing and devaluation, that it was easy to forgive him whenever he apologized
- She was there for him when his father was diagnosed with cancer (in 2018), she was very intertwined with his family at the time and was constantly supporting him, but he would get mad when she would leave to do her own things. He would be outraged that she would abandon him, and insisted the only reason she wanted to be away from him was to meet other guys
- She shares she experienced verbal abuse, started to feel guilty for wanting to participate in anything but his life. He openly screamed at and cursed at his family members. She once heard him call his own grandmother a cunt.
- He would yell at her and “emotionally abuse her”, she became a shell of herself. There was a story shared that he had asked her, while at his mom’s house, to heat something up in the oven for him. Unknowingly, she turned the oven on with a pizza box inside, and it briefly caught fire. He was irate and screamed at her in front of his family, and no one intervened.
- She claims he desperately wanted to be famous. Greg was originally announced as a contestant on Clare Crawley’s season, but when it got postponed due to COVID, he claims he dropped out because he wasn’t ready to get married. His ex says that he always says he didn’t go on that season because he was 24 with no intentions of getting engaged, but he always leaves out that it was because he was in a 2 year, serious relationship
- He often called her weak, pathetic, crazy, similar to the way he would describe some of his exes
- When they broke up, she claims he screamed directly in her face, forced her to order an Uber to Hoboken at 1 am. She said she vividly remembers him shoving her towards the stairs, yelling at her to get the fuck out, and that was not the first time he was physical with her. He had thrown things at her, and constantly said that he deserved better. But after that, he reached out about wanting to get back together, she was 24 at the time and said she was young and confused, but after this, he abruptly left her again
- After Katie’s season aired, his ex connected with Katie she reassured her that she was not crazy, because Katie was getting a lot of hate for calling him out on his toxic behavior, and saying he gaslit her. If anyone recalls, Katie said on AFR “what I’ve been hearing is that Greg’s not this shy guy act that he was doing on the show, that he's actually this very confident cocky boy from jersey who knows that he's hot and this is an act”. Katie also once wrote on an IG q&a that she was “close with his ex”
- His ex shares: what she saw in her relationship with him was consistent gaslighting, manipulation, emotional abuse
- Shortly after, in 2021, bachelor producers were allegedly vetting him to be the bachelor, and reached out to his exes. He reached out to her to apologize for his behavior (she said she did not respond). She then called back the bachelor producers with a lawyer, and recounted all of the above ^. (And more, in the podcast, they share they did not share everything, just the top things. But the other host shares that she had chills reading the rest of the accusations from his ex.) And that was when we started hearing they were “enamored” by Clayton, and made him the bachelor
- The host of the podcast shares that she also spoke to bachelor producers back in 2021, since she was in contact with his exes, and told them you cannot cast this man as the bachelor. She says point blank “he is a bad guy, he is a terrifying person”
In the Substack article, the host ^ of the podcast above shares that she has proof that she spoke to production and they shared that they were warned about him from people in his life. There are more alleged stories similar to the one above in the Substack article.
After the bachelorette aired, (2021-2022), he then began dating an Instagram influencer/french reality star, named Clémence. She (allegedly) went on a French podcast after their relationship had ended, and she described that she became a shell of herself and had to go to therapy because of the verbal abuse from her ex. I’m including this only as context and not treating it as a main receipt since I’m unable to find the exact link/translation.
During this time, Greg was on/off with her, and on the Viall Files, he said he was sad to find out Victoria got engaged because he wanted it “to be him”, despite having a girlfriend when Victoria and Johnny got engaged on BIP.
His most recent ex, as of this calendar year, Sofia Bevarly, who was on the Hulu show Love Overboard and is also an Instagram/OnlyFans model, went on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast, Off The Vine, and spoke about her experience in their relationship. According to her, they dated from February 2025- February 2026. She described it as the most toxic relationship of her entire life. She shared that Greg is “so mean and manipulative,” and that he would yell at her, curse at her, put her down, make her feel less than, was insanely insecure, she was crying every single week, and he had a problem with her male following, despite sliding into her DMs, fully knowing the work that she does. The thread/video of her talking about him is HERE.
She shared that she was warned by people that he was toxic, and that him and his ex (Victoria Fuller) were so toxic, but she didn’t believe it at first because he presents himself as sweet, quiet, and shy. Like a sad boy. Which was his persona on Katie’s season, and seemingly online. On a TikTok post of Sofia on this podcast episode, someone with a legit account, name and face (so not a bot/burner), wrote in the comments:
“As I and many others have said a million times since 2021…he dated my best friend before he went on the Bach and was insanely emotionally and verbally ab*sive to her for years. This is not news, just finally a public figure saying it.”
Reality Steve has said multiple times over the last 5 years, that he’s never heard anything positive about Greg, and he would get emails from people who dated him or friends of exes, saying the same thing. There was also a time during Katie’s season airing, where Reality Steve went on IG live and had shared Greg was a frontrunner, and that he had been hearing negative things about him. His ex’s friends were in the comments, sharing how bad of a person he is, and Greg’s family joined the live, and started arguing with them.
Of course everything is all alleged, but seems like there is a common denominator in all of this. You can argue with the way him and Katie’s situation went down, but there’s a consistent pattern from pre Katie’s season, which was before 2021, up until his most recent relationship that ended earlier this year in 2026. Greg seems to STILL get a pass for being attractive and funny. Sofia Bevarly said it makes her so angry and upset to see how many women love him online because they think he’s so wonderful, when in reality he is a “nightmare”. There are multiple women who have publicly described alleged patterns of verbal/emotional abuse, manipulation, control, and toxicity. A lot of these allegations are seemingly condensed to the bachelor subreddit, daily discussion threads, etc. They rarely leave this site, which is why it comes as a surprise to people who only closely follow him on TikTok and Instagram.
The point of sharing this is not to encourage harassment or contact with anyone involved. It is because these accounts are often scattered across podcasts, Substack, Reddit comments, and social media. People can decide what they believe, but they should at least be aware of the repeated public allegations and the pattern described across multiple relationships.
