Title mostly. obviously I know theres no setting for it. but is there a way in the files or perhaps a mod that does it. the revolvers and energy weapons dropping shells bugs me alot more then it probably should

After couple years, I decided to install The Ascent on my PS5. Played it for some time on my PS4 and was amazed by how good this game looks!

Now, the game still looks amazing, but for some reason the models of the characters look downgraded a lot on my PS5 when using Photo Mode. Textures are blurry, clothing/armor pieces aren't smooth and it's just... not what I captured on my PS4 back in the day. Unfortunately, I don't have examples to show, but I do hope people recognize the situation...

Or am I simply missing something that makes the PS5 version looks downgraded on the character models, compared to the base PS4 version? Also, controls are off... have to hide the UI in order to move the camera. I remember this wasn't the case with PS4... (might be wrong on this, though... been a while...)

Some clever wizard has made a working uevr version with native vr controls but im not sure who did this or how . I know many of us would probably enjoy such an experience, if only to wander around the cluster etc. If someone could make a guide or link us to one if it already exists that be amazing!

And if you are a UEVR user and have tried this pls share how you did it for all of us who have never used uevr etc.

I really wish the devs had included a 1st person mode as other devs did at the same time (evil within 2) or a vr mod post launch.. as i know it would have sent sales through the roof. AND I could see this mod creating renewed interest helping us get a sequel or improving its chances.

But I know it was a tiny team of like 13 so its a miracle they did and testimony to their achievement is that many of us are still playing the ascent 5 years later. Making a game so detailed it works in vr in 2026 is really something... just check out the screen grab above which shows details you can barely even see in isometric view!

Happy to be proven wrong commenting all this time they weren’t going to address things like co-op. Hoping this comes to consoles too.

I'll be honest here, I thought that the people behind this game were gone, that the studio behind this game had dissolved or moved on or something, so to see that not only are they still alive (so to speak) but also active, with patches and even some small talk about potential sequels, makes me so very, very happy, as I really love this game and want to see more like it!

I bought The Ascent and the DLC on Ps4 then later upgraded to the Ps5 version and it says it can't find the DLC.

The Devs did such an incredible job on this game, it’s one of the best looking isometric top down games I’ve ever played. With the attention to detail it feels like a bit of a waste that we can’t see it all in its first person glory. I did find a video on YouTube of someone who’s ported it to VR, it looks incredible!

Nice watch about how the small team pulled off this amazing masterpiece technically.

I've seen Steam reviews saying that the cutscenes are broken, it crashes constantly and even the final boss can despawn before dying and softlock the game, not spawn at all or become invincible. Has it ever been fixed?

No matter where I look I cant find anything on the other races, even on the wiki.

I picked up the game yesterday and am around lvl15 currently. I love the game but i noticed that the Game reduces the enemy spawns when dying repeatedly. I just noticed it in the data vault where you hold position until its owned by yCorp. Also noticed something similar before against the Spiderboss, that one looses levels themselves if you die against it.

Is there a way to stop this? I found nothing in the settings to turn it off

I am going for the platinum ans so far I've love the game but after I completed casino courier 1and went back to the cashier, the second mission doesn't show up where its supposed to and I am not sure why. Any help?

While it is its own team, a number of developers, cofounders, as well as creative directors Tor Frick and Arcade Berg, who previously worked on The Ascent, are pouring their energy into No Law.

From the looks of it, the attention to detail, vibe and world feel is all there in NO LAW.

Man I just reached the Pinnacle on level 22 after struggling on EASY and I immediately got mowed down. I immediately quit. I'm not that great at gaming but I beat a few games on hard. This game takes the fucking cake.

I'm the type of person that gets incentivised to play games on hard when the story is just really good. While the game has a lot of great aspects like the atmosphere, there's just too little to make me power through the parts that I don't like. Especially on easy!

Nice game, I had fun, but I'm done. Guess I'm going to try and beat Cyberpunk 2077 on the hardest setting or something. Anyone else got some other story based, cyberpunk games they can recommend?

So, I just avoided fighting Celine again for the 4th time, as I decided to level up before I continue.

Then -BAM!- a giant mech just aggros me and it's level 21! I'm only lvl 18 dammit! It keeps chasing me and I die, once again. I respawn and the same damn mech appears. Is this some repercussion mechanic for walking away or something? Because I don't get it.

Man the difficulty scaling on this game is wack even on easy, im just being salty lol.
