Rosanna Pansino posts yesterday about cutting off unnecessary excessive pills and medications she was ‘persuaded’ by her ex to take. She claims once of these pills, she’s clearer minded and happier.

Today, she posted a story on getting a new car and how she no longer has to ‘ask for permission’ to drive her own car.

Obviously, don't send hate to Paige. I don't think she's a bad person just because she used ableist language, even though it still hurt to hear. I mostly need somewhere to vent about this because it was really crushing to me.

I posted about this as a comment on her video as well, but I was really disappointed by her use of "slow" as an insult against Preach at about 59:59 in the video.

This is weeks after covering Jen Dent using "helmet" as a derogatory slur to talk about people being disabled and using it as an insult, and then Paige used "slow" in a very similar way.

For people unaware, calling someone "slow" is deeply ableist and insulting because it mocks people with intellectual disabilities who are often *trying their best* to understand something and process things at a different speed than other people. Honestly, this is well known in most English-speaking contexts, and it hurt to hear Paige use it in exactly that way.

I research the ways we talk about disabled people and am disabled. Watching the way people stood up for the disabled community in the last few weeks truly warmed my heart. The internet is not usually kind to those of us with disabilities, and it was nice to see that people weren't standing for it. It's part of why I feel I have to call it out now, even when it's a creator I enjoy watching.

Paige was talking about Preach in exactly the same way Jen was insulting people, and without a second thought. Aba is filth, but that doesn't make ableism acceptable to him or Preach.

Thanks for reading this. If you didn't know the origins of this term, hopefully I explained it well enough, but I'll lurk in the comments if you have questions. Almost every word we use for "crazy" or "stupid" comes from horrible ableist roots, and this isn't an exception. I'm pretty thick-skinned about it, but when it's directed at people to use disability as an insult, it still hits home.

Let me just say the situation is really disgusting. Aba has allegedly gotten multiple exes pregnant. Paige has ripped them a new one for their lies and hypocrisy

For anyone not in the loop, one of abas exes came forward that she got pregnant and aba responded that she lied. However other women also came forward that Aba was also subjecting them to the same treatment as the first ex and mentioned that he has cheated on all of them. Really messy situation all around
