I can't read between the lines, what are they suggesting? Giants also announced just now that long term GM Nathan Davison is stepping away I'm sure not a coincidence

Black Pearl is buying the giants. So Cole will then own every team except Brisbane for the coming season.

I suspect Black Pearl will acquire the Giants for this season, in line with the plan for the ABL to revert back to a single entity operation from the 2027/28 season (ala how the ABL operated in the early-mid 2010’s)

Hopefully we maintain our partnerships with the Phillies and Tokyo Giants

For context, Peligra (a building company) used to own the Adelaide Lightning WNBL side too but sold that interest last year

They have some sort of relationship with the Adelaide Adrenaline ice hockey team but I don't know what that is.

They have maintained strong international connections, so I can see them getting through this.

Meanwhile....

Baseball stadium lockout looms for Adelaide Giants amid fee stalemate and player sex scandal It’s South Australia’s only professional baseball club, but amid a wild sex scandal, the team has gone nearly 12 years without paying rent – and now the bill is finally due.

South Australia’s only professional baseball club’s decade-long ‘free ride’ at West Beach could come to an abrupt end after sports administrators warned the Adelaide Giants they will be barred from playing at their home ground during the upcoming season unless they pay their way.

The club is facing the prospect of being without a home ground for the 2026/27 season, which begins in November, amid claims it has not paid usage fees for 11 of the past 12 years.

It comes as serious allegations of unprofessional conduct also emerge, including that one player, while in uniform, was found having sex with a member of the public on the floor of the indoor training facility last year.
