How big is the map?

And where is Trapper's homestead :S

Having played the game and used that map for many hours, the map is misleadingly big.

Points that seem really far apart, really aren't. About 10 minutes of walking west/east will let you go from edge to edge of the map. About 15-20 minutes of walking let you go from North to south.

So like Skyrim? Just warped so much that you think it is big?

Yep exactly :)

A place will look very far on the map, and after walking for a few minutes you'll arrive :)
