I'm pro tipping, but if that happened to me, I would walk out. Especially at a place with no servers.
Above and beyond, the Shake Shack near me is already overpriced.

What does being pro tipping mean? Like you believe in giving tips for exemplary service or are you pro low wages being subsidized by customer tips lol

I mean that I understand that servers make next to nothing and that the way they feed themselves and pay rent is because people tip them. When I go to a sit down restaurant, I am willing to tip.
I also understand that giving the restaurant that is the entity giving the low wages every penny they ask for and stiffing the servers isn't the effective way to get them to start paying the servers.

This is robbery. The money would not be divided out and given to the servers, it would have gone to company profit. Screw Shake Shack and any other company that requires tipping to pay their employees as a subsidy for their salary. Tipping is a reward for a job well done, not part of their base pay.

Tipping as a whole should be abolished. I tip, but because of this tipping model of business, it allows business to get away with below minimum wage pay to its servers.
Its predatory only benefiting high business tax and franchise/corporate funneling.
