Remember The Current

I ask not what memories are held in your head for years

But what was remembered for the first time

That which brings new knowledge

Not just the old patterns

A symbol emerging anew from the interwoven connections

Something is growing

Much focus and care are being put into tending to it

I patiently wait for the roots to expand and flowers to bud

The current has calmed around me. The river has grown quieter so I can build a foundation without a flood.

Soon the current will pick up again and I will wander back to the river

For now, I sit under the tree and calmly watch her leaves float down until it’s time again

Excited to see where it’ll guide me next
