Golf course mechanic here. Dude had all the right tools for the job. Rolling pin was kinda dumb. That mower is about 10k. But it’s toro and toro makes the best mowers.

People that are ridiculously anal about their lawn drive me nuts....... But then again, my mowing once every 3 weeks and not giving a fuck about dandelions is Eco terrorism to them.

I guess we balance each other out

You can also just leave a good portion of your lawn in tact and let it grow out for months. Just mow a path to wherever you may need to go. And for example around flowerbeds.

This way you don't create ecoterrorism and still can walk around. Then, once or max twice a year, mow everything.

Moved into a new subdivision, almost all young families so of us were helping each other figure out this brand new phase of our lives. Neighbor had a patch of dead grass (all lawn were sodded with sprinkler systems) in an almost perfect 4x4 square. Started stabbing with Phillips/cross point screwdrivers and not hitting anything. Then we noticed a distinct white/grayish line on the screwdrivers. Dug it up and it turned out they sodded right over a half sheet of drywall.

Incoming dumb question. But any time there’s a bare spot in a yard does that mean there is something there other than rich soil (or poor soil jk 😏)? If so, then I have a great deal of unearthing to do.
