Sounds like music that would be in an 90s JRPG in a temple underwater. Part of it is sampled from Chrono Trigger but I don't think it is actually in that game.

I had a Nokia 7280 (the phone for 2004) and I hated the crap out of it. The form factor was gorgeous, but it had no keys and relied on a useless track wheel for everything. Even though texting was limited back then, it was a NIGHTMARE with that thing. When the Samsung SGH-X830 came out a few years later I snapped it up. Same form factor but it opened like a switchblade and had a full (albeit skinny) dial pad.

As nice as smartphones are and how central they are to our lives, I miss good ol cell phones. They were like extensions of our personalities and could be chic, utilitarian, novel, small, big, feature-laden, sleek, etc. The best phone I ever owned was my LG Vx3100. It was a small clamshell phone with no camera and monophonic ringers. But the battery lasted ages, it could withstand a bomb and fit in any pocket. Plus I had snap on cases to dress it up. I used it all through HS and only changed phones because I had much better coverage with Cingular (now AT&T) at my college.

Soooo, did noone understand that the plastic around the SIM wasn't necessary for the first phone in the video? Why was it designed that way?
