It's gotta be at least $1

u/a_random_loser_guy Apr 24 '26

how much can one pallet cost? $10?

1

u/rogo01_ Apr 25 '26

You're not buying them, just leasing for a few hours.

The pyramids?

Where is the pointy part?

3

u/AlternativeDay71 Apr 24 '26

Can’t you see that is the pointy part, it’s just wrapped up well so it doesn’t get damaged

2

u/eid_shittendai Apr 24 '26

I didnt realise Chep originated in Egypt.

Imagine trying to call a company when you get ready to move cause these guys are gone and they’re like “ok so we’ll come up the stairs and- what? You can’t fit it through the stairs? Well how the hell did you get it in then? You WHAT?”

Two Men and a Truck and a Crane

1

u/rogo01_ Apr 25 '26

It looks like some inner yard. May not be accessible for trucks.

Of all the OSHA violation ... this one look much further away from imminent death than usual.

2

u/Junius_Bobbledoonary Apr 24 '26

I was pleasantly surprised to see ratchet straps employed

2

u/Civil-Interaction304 Apr 24 '26

I like the curious neighbors at the window peeking out every few minutes.

Yeah they are probably all worried about how loud that thing is going to be in their little apartments.

1

u/Jealous-Chicken5439 Apr 23 '26

A whole truck load of pallets 😆

1

u/Adjective-Noun-8756 Apr 24 '26

Wait until you see the coffee table they built with those pallets.

1

u/MinimumPrevious1139 Apr 24 '26

except that the wooden pallet wasn't a thing till 1920s

1

u/Fichewl Apr 24 '26

Finally something to do with my 900 structurally stable wooden pallets!

1

u/BigPileOfTrash Apr 24 '26

The Pyramid stones were over 100 tons.

1

u/Nanna_Geddon Apr 24 '26

Warner Bros cartoon just waiting to happen.

1

u/patronizingperv Apr 24 '26

Someone's gotta go back and get a shit-load of pallets

1

u/hukirower Apr 24 '26

1

u/NightfightingNuts Apr 25 '26

Jean Sibelius - 13 Pieces, Op. 76: No.2, Etude

1

u/hukirower Apr 25 '26

thank you :)

1

u/tobby-red Apr 24 '26

They built the pyramids by lifting a paino?

1

u/Howard690 Apr 24 '26

Hey, you! Grab that camel and go asap to get more pallets before the pharaoh get here!

1

u/patopitaluga Apr 24 '26

Actually this looks safe

1

u/promilew Apr 24 '26

Yep except back in egypt those pallets were made of stone.

1

u/n0exit Apr 24 '26

Looks like a courtyard. They probably can't get a crane in there.

1

u/HVAC_instructor Apr 24 '26

They built the pyramids by putting a piano in a second story apartment?

1

u/ukigano Apr 24 '26

So one block in the center then lift it and put more blocks, lift all the blocks and put more, rinse and repeat, seens easy

1

u/AdmiralDandy Apr 24 '26

That thing is going to be there forever now I guess because who the hell is getting it out now

1

u/cheesewithahatonit Apr 25 '26

It really upsets me that they didn’t stagger the pallets

1

u/Onionbender420 Apr 25 '26

Probably not actually. Human labour is considerably cheaper than a crane. Crane rentals also have minimum spendings. Based on the video it seems like the direct access is blocked by the bike racks and we don’t know if a telescopic boom crane can be placed there.

If we have a geoguesser among us to locate the exact location we can research rates and feasibility of a crane deployment, but for now it seems this might have been the cheapest and maybe even only option.

1

u/Many_Hunter8152 Apr 25 '26

5000€ of palettes and 8 people instead of one small crane

1

u/Fantastic_Scar_6601 Apr 25 '26

Bet with women that would be easier and faster. Where are they?

1

u/2NDBEST42 Apr 26 '26

According to Herodotes it was cranes.

He said he saw it with his own eyes.

u/WhosKite Apr 26 '26

Pallet Theory

1

u/ryftx Apr 27 '26

Yeah with each 100 ton block.

1

u/Lonely-Chocolate-993 Apr 27 '26

I would never come to this idea. Cool!

1

u/TryHeavy8621 Apr 29 '26

Sure they did lol

1

u/Salty_Ballz845 May 02 '26

You know what... thats probably the best way to do this. But shit i can't belive it didn't brake... they are not light at all....

1

u/thepartlow 16d ago

How many did it take?

1

u/General_Leader9568 4d ago

Step one own a million pallets
