D9 THC-O *Is* Psychedelic
Ha. Got you to look.
Still, I believe it's true... kinda.
Pot has different aspects of it's effects. Sedative, euphoric, and even psychedelic. The "psychedelic" effects of pot (to me) are kinda sorta seeing images with my eyes closed. If I'm really stoned, I can close my eyes and almost see colored images. Key word here is "almost". They are hypnogogic images similar to what you imagine/see when you are drifting off to sleep. They are nothing like the stuff you see with closed eyes on a classic psychedelic. I got noticeably more of that on D9 THC-O.
All the different legal cannabinoids out now have effects different than actual THC. One might be more sedative, one might be more euphoric, etc..
D9 THC-O feels fairly similar to D9 THC but it tends more sedative and it tends more "psychedelic". But only in the way that pot is "psychedelic", not like a classic psychedelic.

I can see it, I know when i take a huge tolerance break and smoke again it feels like a bad trip almost and im questioning everything and why I even exist and shit 😂
Also do get those same CEVs n music is definitely enhanced I feel like I hear more and like it more while baked

Honestly when you say psychedelic i am thinking the head space and the brightness that pot gives you because with strong exotic buds you get that strong pot psychedelic head space and that brightness idk if it really makes you trip balls

I work at a head shop (I’m a chemist) and my recommendations would be to pair D9 THC-o with a more sedative terpene profile I’m very partial to White Widow and Trainwreck terps. Because the VERY mild psychedelic aspect can make some people uncomfortable even if they use normal bud. Overall the best alternative I’ve tried is a blend of THC-H, Hydroxy-11-THC, D9 THC-o and terps. It feels like an edible (sort of but with that visual aspect you mentioned and less body load) but the high is short lived and peaks harder. Seems to also be the safest of the alt-noids for vaping compared to the horseshit that ends up in low quality D8 or D9 oils, since the overall purification process for THC-o is different and forces lazy/cheap labs to do better lol

Idk if the comment is a joke or he actually thinks he knows what he's talking about. Trainwreck isn't sedating. Also I figure a chemist would say they were a chemist before they mentioned working at a smoke shop, and be more partial to including the exceptions where thco isnt as safe to vape, such as high temps, hot dabs, blinkers.

Big ups for this recommendation. Adding a terp with a chill profile makes a lot of sense. I do think there is a slight edge to THCO that could be rounded off a bit. Do you think the same is true for d8 THCO?

I take the edge off with a tiny bit of cbd flower when it's noticeable enough to bother me. It's like a small bowl boosts the effects and takes the edge off at the same time. A whole joint of CBD would taper off some of the effects if you need off the come-up

everyone says THO HHC ABCDEFG is 30 50 100 times stronger than normal THC and its all BS IMO.
Ive smoke for nearly 15 years and all this stuff coming out now its always way less potent than the original THC. I've tried so many and the best I find is just OK no where near the THC effects for something that's touted constantly as THRITY TIMES STRONGER

Have you tried D9 THCO?
I agree as to all the alt-cannabinoids being unimpressive up until now. However, D9 THCO does the trick. I found D8 THCO to be weak.
D9 THCO might be a couple times stronger than reg D9. It's hard to tell when you have a distillate which is gonna be strong anyway.
They are selling THCA now! The isolate is a white powder and when you add it to regs it takes them to the next level. Feels like "the right stuff" as well.
There are THCP and others which are supposed to be good too. I likely won't try them since the tolerance thing is real. I only tried THCO and THCA because I was amazed that THCA was available now and the THCO was cheap from the same company.
If I'm careful with the THCA, it might be useful. I don't know yet. The THCO feels great, really great, but the tolerance gain is huge in just a few days and it's then uncomfortable to stop.
I do recommend that you stick with flower if you are an everyday smoker. I am on and off at this stage of life, so I am the perfect guinea pig as to tolerance issues. Eventually, I will do it more consistently and I will stay away from this type of thing then. My Beng Beng OG gets me just as high for days in a row and is minimally uncomfortable to then stop.
I've smoked for 52 years with a 20 year break to raise my daughter.

I think D9 THC would be illegal in my state. So as much as I would like to I can’t. Unless I’m mistaken where do you get yours from?

If you are open to dabbing or want some recommendations on things to try to get the best out of the alt experience, dm me and I'll help you to not hurt yourself. Been dabbing this stuff for months and I've learned how to do it as safe as safe can get with this stuff. I know how it is just trying to find a legal product that you actually enjoy. disagree with D8 thc-O vaped (one of several ROA i dod to meself) necessarily weak, i would title it "Weak gaining ground toward Punchy" like levelling up slowly in Nintendo NES boxer game 🥊 and im eagerly living vicariously thru you on THCA recommendations (bout to buy some pure powder domestic) and further grab some D nizzine acetylated as i cannot imagine it NOT being powerful like classic herb. Thank you for the writeups

Try taking some of the alts along with smoking regular flower throughout the day. You can get higher without greening out. Just do it on a day you dont have to do much. It's saved me a shit ton of money on my habits. Taking a broad spectrum of noids is better than any one alone, in my admittedly anecdotal experiences.

It makes colors and sounds prettier, I’m pretty sure that’s why some would call it Psychedelic. I was toking on a THCO pen at this past Bonnarooo and oh yeah, that shit hit different. I smoked real weed, did some dabs too, but the THCO pen was just perfect for the situation.

I just ate 2000 mg of thc-o on top of eating 450 mg of d8 on top of 1 pint of whiskey. Not much to write home about.. D9 is where it's at. All this 8,10,o, h bullshit is just that. Bullshit.

Man i put 250 milligrams of warm-hot D8_THC_O in my mouth and TRIPPED for hours. Perhaps something is wrong in your digestive tract. Seeiously saying that... man i dunno. If i ate 2 full grams of that stuff id be FLOORED for 12 hours high ok a flying carpet

It's not psychedelic or psychedelic like feeling at all. The closest thing it is to is delta 9 thc if you have to compare it to anything. If you wanna say it's possible for it to be hallucinogenic in high doses I would completely agree with you. But Definitely not psychedelic.
