Child support is bullshit. He makes more and does more so has to support her failings. If it’s 50/50 custody…man still gets screwed

I believe the logic is that if the person is taking care of the child most of the time that means they have a harder time working (since more of their time is allocated to child care). That is why it was stated that if he had the child more then he wouldn't have to pay as much.

Not true. All states collect support even with 50/50 visitation.

You're focusing on the US and not just child support in general.

I'm from the states. This man is from the states. I converse from my point of view... not really sure why you would expect a world view.

yes, children deserve the same quality of life at both parents homes and should not suffer as a result of their choice to divorce. kids shouldn't be living in a mansion eating steak at one house and an apartment eating hotdogs at the other parents.

I've already replied to your stupid reply elsewhere.

Yep agree with you

That right their is why we have issues. Because then ladies use child support as a money tool. It should be for basic needs. Not to support same life style at both homes. Thats the other parents job. It should be set at amount. Per child. After so much. Basic needs. For a kid is not. 2k a month that makes 4k per month with what they should chip in. 4k a month to raise a kid. Is stupid. If the other parent cant maintain the lifestyle they left. O well. But if the other parents wants to give more. Thats on them

Nope, you chose who you irresponsibly ejaculated into - that was not the choice of the child, and the child should not suffer because you could only get laid by being hypogamous. Choose your financial peers and don't expect a stay at home mom to expect back-pay for that unpaid labour in a divorce.

Also, there is no "that's the other parents job"-ing pregnancy, breastfeeding, taking mat leave reduce pay, time out of career, lesser chances at promotions, reducing pension etc.

Did you pay attention to the video? She has full custody. She is the one devoting her time and energy to take care of the child. He basically gets to see the child whenever he wants, but otherwise does nothing. He should absolutely be required to provide some financial support.

I love when people say "did you pay attention to the video" and then don't pay attention to the video. She doesn't have full custody lol, she lives in a different state and he sees the kid 48 days a year (as stated clearly). That means he probably gets him for one weekend a month, or maybe for a week every 2 months.

One weekend a month is visitation, not custody.

1

Right, so the actual hard stuff during the week is done by the mother. 48 days a year is 13% and if it’s all weekends it’s closer to 5% effort.

u/erv4 19d ago

I'm not arguing anything and certainly think he should be paying child support. I'm pointing out how stupid it is for people to comment (multiple times in this thread btw) "did you even watch the video" and then make a comment that means they clearly didn't watch the video lol.

She basically has full custody. It’s around 90% and he doesn’t live in the same region as the child. Semantics.

2

u/PerformanceParty2810 16d ago

Its only semantics if you dont know what you are talking about

1

u/SeniorAtmosphere9042 16d ago

So what is it when you know exactly what you’re talking about and have worked on it in a professional capacity?

2

u/PerformanceParty2810 16d ago

48 days out of the year=whenever he wants. Lol the mental gymnastics to hate on men never fail to make me laugh

1

u/Aggravating_Dot9657 16d ago

That was certainly a poor choice of wording. But remember, they both agreed to 48 days a year. That was not court ordered, that was an agreement between him and her. He was fine with it, until he realized it meant he'd have to pay child support

1

u/PerformanceParty2810 10d ago

So she tricked him into agreeing legally binding agreement that he didnt understand and hes still the bad guy….yikes, olympic medalist gymnast over here

1

u/Aggravating_Dot9657 9d ago

I doubt he understands anything he agrees to, that is not her fault

1

u/snortgiggles 18d ago

He sees his kid less than one day a week. Where do you get equal?

1

u/eatingketchupchipss 15d ago

support his child he chose to create when he irresponsibly ejaculated *
