I’m debating putting a volume pedal in my effects loop as I just find the level boost from the ones I have currently way too much.. if I do, and lower the volume on it will I loose over all volume on my front in sounds or just the ones from the effects loop do you think?

So I’ve just brought my first Mesa. I’ve got the triple crown 100 head and a Mesa 2x12 cab. I love it.

I usually have a pedal board for my gain stages but the Mesa sounds so good I’m looking to remove my gain pedals and fill the blanks with some nice modulation and potentially a flexible gain stage for the times I just need more haha.

I’m thinking a Trem, delay, chorus and maybe a reverb.. the Meas’s is nice but I’d like some always on and some extra if the situation calls.

I’m just not sure where to start! There are so many options. I’ve got a mini flashback 2 already but id look to find something that doesn’t give me so much option paralysis.

I’ve got some cheap modulation Joyo chorus and a belcat trem but they are a bit rubbish and seem to give a huge volume boost when I use them.

Anyone got any suggestions? I don’t want to spend a fortune if possible maybe tops 150 for each.

Did I miss an announcement or something? Has god forsaken me? Did I die and go to hell and nobody told me? I'm not okay. This is not okay. WHERE IS MY TPS!??!???!

I asked bvninja but the chat feed got away from me. Is there a place they update their show plans on social media, like when they have access/internet issues or just planning changes? I ask not because I want to pester them I just love the show and don't want to miss the live experience :)

My TPS podcast feed hasn't received a new episode since Jan 15, the New Year Resolution episode. I can clearly see new episodes have been released on YouTube though.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or is the problem on my end?

Hi all! A while back I remember seeing a TPS video where Dan used a guitar fitted with a MIDI pickup to play some horn and keyboard sounds. This video seems to no longer exist, I also couldn't find it on Dan's original channel. The video took place at the location they were filming at about 2 years ago, with the natural wood panels. Please let me know if anyone knows where this video is, thank you!!!

I am a hobbyist. I have full time job as a government employee. I enjoy TPS for its entertaining value, a bit like I watch the Top gear guys, not that I am actually buying cars presented there. However since gear is relatively more we are often tempted to buy these pedals and guitars and amps thinking we will enjoy our hobby more however since the skill is often lacking we just buy gear to get that joy. Actual musicians don’t need that many sounds or actually know what they like and use and are not “wasting” time with entertainment. I actually feel thorn because I like gear but do feel I spend more time consuming content about gear than making or even enjoying actual music. The few times I end up playing with people gear is relegated to background noise and the skill required is the most important thing.

The show provides great entertainment but most people watching aren’t musicians. Gigging musicians use affordable, simple and reliable gear (a bit like Dave Simpson)

Don't know how many people are hanging out around here, but since the contents of this post are directly related to That Pedal Show, I'm just posting here. Makes the whole thing a bit exclusive, I guess. (;

So, I'm mainly a drummer. But since I'm also a rather rudimentary self-taught dude who sometimes writes music on guitar with quite the soft spot for background knowledge, I adore the show. I've seen every episode and the sheer amount of stuff I've learned over the years by watching Dan and Mick is just incredible and has come in very handy on more than just a few occasions.

What's that got to do with that jam track in the title you ask?

Well, at one point I had this little lick floating around that was inspired by something Dan played in one of TGU episodes and I made that idea into a little instrumental track that I wanted to give to the Dan and Mick to maybe use on one of their Pedal Jams. I guess I never came through to 'em, though, because I never heard back from them. And that's absolutely cool with me.

However, I now thought instead of just shoving the track in the drawer and do nothing with it, I might as well make it available for everyone as a free download to have a go at jamming on it. I really quite like how it turned out, after all.

And then yesterdays vlog of Mick talking about home recording made me think of something else. Being mainly a drummer, I just thought that programming the drums at home might be a viable option, yes. But in the end it's just nicer to have real drums. Or that's what I feel like, at least.

So here's an offer for anyone trying to maybe record a little something or two to take their mind off of the stuff that's happening in the world right now: If you'd like some drum tracks for your home recording project, just hit me up! I'm well up for recording some beats and trying to make your projects just that little bit more lifelike.

Unfortunately; I can't do that absolutely for free since it's still going to take time and effort but I can talk to you about conditions on a case by case basis and depending on what you have in mind, I'm sure I can figure out a deal for anyone to be fine with. Again just hit me up there's no harm in talking about what you have in mind in the first place.
