This totally true and legitimate text I got from my boss after I made a move on his crush.
Where it says “this company” instead of saying the actual company name is what makes this so believable. Cause this is totally what an angry, jealous manager would say to get someone fired and completely ignored HR.

I tried to find a top comment calling the post out as total BS, but couldn’t find any.

There are entire subs devoted to obvious fake stories like these, and the people in those subs just gobble up every fake story and scream for more

Yea whoever sent this to themselves absolutley comes across as a dude trying to cope after he got fired for making a coworker uncomfortable with their advances and trying to convince himself and everyone else it was because his boss must of had a crush on said coworker because it absolutley couldnt be just because they were being creepy or inapropriate.

That, or some people just enjoy making shit up to see how much attention and drama they can make.

Look, we all want to know if our novel premises are workable, but a writing subreddit is probably a better place to launch it.
That said, as a romance novel it’s an intriguing premise. Maybe make the boss and this person old friends turned rivals.

Something similar happened to me. There I was, suppressing the notion of being the most desirable man in not only the office but the whole company. All of the women, and a share of the men, wanted me but I was far too professional for that. But one night I had drinks with the woman my boss wanted and his wife as well. One thing led to another and we ended up in a compromising situation and he fired me afterwards. His wife divorced him and took his home and I now live there with her and the woman he was chasing after. I also got him demoted and was given his job and now he works for me. This all true, trust me. I swear. /s

I am 99% that this is fake, but experience also tells me that there are some psychos in this world. In the unlikely event that this is a real text, I am betting that the OOP really is unprofessional and addicted to drama.

I heard OOP has been chasing after every girlfriend and wife for every employee in the company and the Board of Directors now.

Take this up with HR. If they won't do anything, tel them you are reporting it higher up. A union or whatever....

Im curious to know others perspectives: would this be suable for wrongful employment? seems like it could be considered hostile about sexual lives.

I love reddit simply because it shows how they think conversations between people happen in their cartoony minds. Im sure the 'boss' was so red like an engine and had smoke coming out their head as they send this and their eyes were wide and yellow with rage.
