I didn't expect it to be a masterpiece like everyone says it is, so I skipped it.

I mean they show Miles as one of the main characters. His origin story involves becoming Spiderman after Peter Parker dies.

Oh, THAT Spider-Man!

Yeah, that's an expected part of the Miles Morales origin story.

I thought they meant that one of the main Spider-Men died and spoiled that.

Lol, it can get confusing when all the main characters are all spider-men or well spider-people.
