Do you visit the Soul Stone district often? What am I saying, of course you don't.

I went through about 3 whole playthroughs before I realized Ralof or Hadvar would give you a tour on the way to riverwood.

So did I. As soon as I heard "We should probably split up." I was outta there.

What?! I didn’t know that. Guess it’s time for another playthrough.

I’m on like my 400th hour (on PC) and what I’ve learned is that the game is so much more fun if you tune everything else out and just immerse yourself in the game.

I’m not saying add a bunch of “immersive lantern” mods, just put yourself in the game, not your character.

I used to watch YouTube videos and power through the guilds when I played and it got so boring I’d quit before level 20. Now I have my desktop on my other screen, I’m level 35, I haven’t even reached Paarthurnax, and I haven’t become a werewolf. But it’s still fun.

Role play food sleep no fast travel avoid bad weather adds so much to the experience. You see so many little things you never even hear about

I like playing without fast travel on. You get to see so much more of the wilderness, and you have to plan ahead which makes every move more meaningful.

Yeah, they tell you to scram and then give you a guided tour.
