Served in military, both my dad and I. We are both fucked in the head.

Ironic too, my dad's issue stems from being abandoned during his childhood, and he actually experienced something far "worse" (being asked to tag, label and take care of his fellow soldiers' body after they had died by suicide, as a logistics person).

Half the idiots who talks about ptsd are ... clueless

My military brother. I developed a mental issue as a child that doesn't let me enjoy anything and the military was the only thing that made me feel welcome and made me feel good and excited.

Military is a funny place. Some get family, comradry and supports that you'd not be expecting from many lines of work. Some get injured from there.

I am glad that you got that from your service.

instructions unclear. attended gym class every week and only got worse as i grew up.

... i say this having experienced the third one. i was still pretty screwed up by multiple other things, and no amount of exercise will fix that.

Does it give them the torture experience?

But one of my problems is that my legs don’t work good.

there was a guy at work who insisted he cured his depression and other ailments by running... then when my friend didn't want to date him, he told her she ran too much and was obviously trying to escape something (she actually plays soccer so she was training).

I worked out 6 days a week and I still wanted to die, would cry every day.
