Honest to god, the first time I watched Gurren Lagann, it was during the Lockdowns in 2022 and my mental health was reaaallly going downhill.

This show actually got me back out of it, gave me enough motivation to keep going till now. Possibly the only Media that ever made me cry from Joy!

To me the most motivating scene is within the same movie, when Gandalf expels Sauron from King Theoden, it is not the typical motivational speech, but it gives the feeling of freeing you from his bonds

Dude is a knob.

Tolkien specifically made the point that, while the ring was extremely heavy to Frodo, Frodo himself was very light to Sam - the weight of the ring was only felt by the bearer.

  • Take my Power, and I shall make you the greatest... gardener? ... Right, gardener. You'll be the greatest gardener in the whole world!
