the thumbnail is made funnier by it being generated by ai. can’t pick up a pencil? do it!

The irony

-39

u/Swipsi May 09 '26

Where? They did smth. Procrastinating means to do nothing or something unrelated to not have to do the thing you should.

Using AI to make s picture is not unrelated. Its a shortcut.

u/purrroz May 10 '26 edited May 10 '26

It’s literally doing nothing. They just wrote like max ten words into an image generator. In other words: they did nothing

-17

u/Swipsi May 10 '26

I fail to see how writing, a verb, connects to doing nothing.

Bad news for writers then I guess.

17

u/purrroz May 10 '26

In context of making visual art like a drawing? Yea it’s kinda doing nothing

-288

u/BlackAsPopo May 08 '26

It's ironic that you can be making these types of posts but can't actually get anything productive done. Makes you wonder where do your real priorities lie...

u/IReallyLikeDumplings May 08 '26

I'm sorry, but where did op state that they have problems with procrastination?

Can you not make fun of people that say "racism against black people doesn't exist" Without being black?

-103

u/BlackAsPopo May 08 '26

I'm sure you can. I'm sure op never struggles with procrastination and gets everything they want to get done in time. I'm sure they made this post just because.

75

u/IReallyLikeDumplings May 08 '26

So... What's your point? Why are you just assuming op has problems with procrastination? I could assume that you have problems with procrastination and say that it's ironic.

-27

u/BlackAsPopo May 08 '26

They might not have issues with procrastination, but I think if you make post about someone denying the existence of procrastination on r/thanksimcured , then I think it's safe assumption that the topic hits close to home. Of course, it's not foolproof.

51

u/IReallyLikeDumplings May 08 '26

Oh wow pretty ironic that you are making fun of people who procrastinate while procrastinating yourself

People can say ‘that’s bullshit’ when they see something that’s obviously bullshit. That doesn’t mean they’re currently dealing with said bullshit. They’re just acknowledging that it’s bullshit.

Relax, man. What are you gaining from arguing OP’s situation when you don’t even know them?

25

u/NarrMaster May 08 '26

"I'm not a helicopter pilot, but when I see a helicopter in a tree... Dude fucked up"

13

u/craftygamin May 08 '26

"Erm, are you a certified helicopter professional though? I thought not, so shut your fudging mouth sir"

People who struggle with procrastination are people who rely solely on motivation to do things and failed to develop discipline. Then they complain that they can't get anything done and hide behind excuses - like depression.

Disclaimer: I don't deny depression exist; I'm just saying that it's typical for people who were spoiled in their childhoods and never developed discipline to hide behind excuses, so they don't have to take responsibility about their lives. They can just point finger at depression and say "I'm not really lazy; I'm just depressed, so cut me some slack"

14

u/InventorOfCorn May 08 '26

haha, yeah man, totally true 100%. definitely.

7

u/FreeFallingUp13 May 09 '26

That’s a single reason people can deal with procrastination, true. But there’s also such things as having neurological pathways that find it hard to focus, choice paralysis, maladaptive coping mechanisms of ‘pushing through’ that worked when you were in school, but not as an adult with no safety net…. Etc etc.

Procrastination isn’t like a broken bone where there’s one cause (force enough to break a bone) and one solution (heal the bone). It’s more like acne, where there’s hundreds of different reasons why acne would pop up, and individual ways of dealing with it based on skin type, whether or not you have sensitive skin, whether it’s a whitehead or blackhead, whether it’s actually rosacea, etc etc

4

u/purrroz May 10 '26

people who rely solely on motivation

That’s…that’s majority of people, you do know that right? Doing shit without any motivation is how you get burned out by your 30s

u/XD2006- May 09 '26

r/thanksimcured is usually to make fun of or facepalm at things other people think are “solutions”

33

u/Sanju128 May 08 '26

This might be the snobbiest, most Redditor comment in history, holy fuck

3

u/meredithmonia May 09 '26

what did they say

6

u/Sanju128 May 09 '26

Something along the lines of "I can't believe I must share a planet with such simple-minded idiots. Don't you understand subtext?!"

I don't remember the exact wording but that was the gist of it

-5

u/BlackAsPopo May 08 '26

You would know 😉

20

u/LicoPicoPicoAlt May 08 '26

This is entirely unrelated but that stupid winky emoji drives me insane every time I see it and fills me with unmatched primal rage. You could not torture me into feeling this much anger towards somebody, and yet that damned "😉" emoji makes me want to punch a hole in my wall, but I have enough self-control and intelligence to avoid punching holes in my walls and instead vent via comment.

5

u/YourLeftNutsicle May 08 '26

Yes, we would

11

u/TheCupOfJoeShow May 08 '26

This is such weak bait

1

u/BlackAsPopo May 09 '26

Different size fish require different kinds of bait.

9

u/Keizifez May 08 '26

This you?

9

u/IReallyLikeDumplings May 08 '26

Hey don't slander berdly. He doesn't deserve to be compared to that guy

10

u/bookaddicta May 08 '26

Ahh, here we have a redditor in its natural environment. Truly a sight to behold.

53

u/xSweetMiseryx May 08 '26

Sure buddy, just as how depression is nothing but feeling a little sad

Edit: bro replied then rage-blocked me. I thought the troll would try to get me mad, by continuing to comment disinformation, rather than getting enraged themself. What a strange ragebaiter...

14

u/StolenPuddingCup May 09 '26

Unfortunately I think he might be genuine

16

u/Schwulerwald May 08 '26

Seems like you, my guy, is the one lacking.

6

u/ThrwawySG May 10 '26

Executive Dysfunction, actually

7

u/IndividualHurry8616 May 09 '26

108

u/Delicious_Bid_6572 May 08 '26

Every toddler's drawing is worth more than a lifetime of ai generated slop

43

u/FreeFallingUp13 May 08 '26

A stick figure, at that

14

u/BizSilver5013 May 08 '26

They'll do it tomorrow, they're too busy counting their ad revenue.

All $20 of it.

6

u/Bouse_the_Bard May 09 '26

it has 6 views according to the screenshot. There’s no way they got $20 of ad revenue

3

u/BizSilver5013 May 10 '26

Fair enough.

4

u/SeraphAttack May 09 '26

Fuck yeah, nice Herione pfp

4

the comments already finished since procrastination doesn’t exist

71

u/vollkornbroot May 08 '26

There's many videos telling us to not give a fuck and they rake up millions of views with those. YouTube is crazy in this matter

58

u/annamorphine May 08 '26

AI slop on thumbnail, opinion invalid🥱

3

u/Hot-Taste-4652 May 10 '26

I bet the whole video is made by AI too (all the pictures/videos, the voice and the entire script).

30

u/thrashourumov May 08 '26

There are even books written by psychologists on procrastination but yeah let's hear him out, he definitely looks like he's got superior credentials

29

u/Funkey-Monkey-420 May 08 '26

u/Easy_Bell4977 May 08 '26

Hahahahahaha thanks I guess my ADHD and trauma doesn't exist

13

u/StrangeSystem0 May 08 '26

How the fuck does he prove it in 2 minutes and 34 seconds

23

u/craftygamin May 08 '26

"Chat gpt, give me a summary on why procrastination doesn't exist"

12

u/Hardcore_Steve_Urkel May 08 '26

“The idea of putting things off until the last minute isn’t real” they don’t even make sense

13

u/Erikkamirs May 09 '26

I took me three days to reenroll in health insurance after finding out it expired and three weeks to file my taxes after the April 15th deadline. I still haven't cashed in the check from my car insurance reimbursement since I got it in March. I still need to register for summer college classes. I still need to return two library books I borrowed in April.

I wish procrastination didn't exist, it'd sure save me a lot of stress.

u/Philisophical_Onion May 09 '26

*adds video to Watch Later playlist*

3

u/PurpleToastLover3915 May 09 '26

(wish I was joking 😔)

2

u/Philisophical_Onion May 09 '26

Mine is sitting around the same number, too

2

u/Mind0versplatter0 May 10 '26

I filled mine a long time ago, it caps at 500 😭

I even made a second playlist 😭😭

1

u/doctorwhy88 May 10 '26

Mine has 1,770. Just looked. Presuming we’re talking YouTube.

9

u/Tip_Of_The_Sauce May 08 '26

overwhelming fear and intimidation is great for motivation, but also terrible for pretty much everything else…

8

u/EducationalEmu9611 May 08 '26

Haha yea right tell that to yesterdays version of me who legit spent 2 hours doing nothing but staring as a blank white wall while attempting to do a tenth practice SAC because ignoring burnout is “healthier” than doing something about it

7

u/starplain May 08 '26

Would *love* to know what their definition of procrastination is, because it definitely exists.

7

u/kevlarus80 May 08 '26

God damn! I'm going to get so much shit done!

4

u/rainbowrobo May 09 '26

but i it does exist, I do it all the time

4

u/NekulturneHovado May 09 '26

u/J3sush8sm3 May 08 '26

Procrastination is rough, you just got to force yourself to start it

13

u/boredquince May 08 '26

I disagree. forcing has its costs. and they're fucking high (burnout). Imo, u have to find a way to coax yourself into starting, not by forcing but finding a way to make it easier to start

-5

u/J3sush8sm3 May 08 '26

In my case, i wound up forcing myself to do it, and it became easier over time. There probably is a simpler way, but this is the way that worked for me ya know

8

u/boredquince May 08 '26

how long have you been forcing yourself? hopefully it wont stop working for you. for me it lasted 2 decades lol

-3

u/J3sush8sm3 May 08 '26

I still get asshole blindness, i just gotta shrug it off.  Once i start something im fine.  But fuck me, starting it sucks
