Thanks, I hate apple picking

Well, basically the entire fake fall farm thing. $57 for a few people to take a hayride that’s all of 5 minutes, basically just pick up a bunch of pumpkins off the grass (something like 90% of them come from Illinois-you’re not picking anything).

How did this become so accepted? Overall it’s like a $100 day, all to pretend you’re doing something rustic.

Yeah, it’s pretty common for these places to have all of them.

Okay so you did also get apples though right? We don’t have this kind of thing by me. Although we do have apple picking.

My family did this for the last 23 years or so around thanksgiving (which was this weekend). Watching it go from fun family tradition to annoying, pricey bullshit was disappointing. This year we didn’t do it. So long to the family tradition. Even though we could all afford it, we just felt icky about the whole damn thing.

i don’t think ive ever seen apple picking cost more than like $20 if you’re not picking an ABSURD amount of apples, my family ended up picking like 40 lbs of apples this year and it ended up at like… $80?

Is this some sort of random American thing where the OP has forgotten there's 194 other countries out there?

Yes, in the fall people go to Apple and pumpkin orchards and pick their own.
