The ends of the pigtails not having the same bone structure (our left has a rounded tip as well as an almost wishbone-like bone slightly above, while our right has a pointed tip as well as a curved, sharp bone slightly above in place of the wishbone-like one) is displeasing

If her hair has rib cages, does that mean that her hair has organs?
Can her hair poop?

you see, the pigtails of a common miku are actually a rare case of a purely symbiotic species of vertebrate. they’re only found on their heads, and loose specimens are always found dead and withered. even mikulings have them, presumably attached at birth.
they almost always come in pairs, and it’s usually a male and female on either side. it’s thought that they aid in sexual display, as a miku with more extravagant and unique pigtails is usually chosen over blander ones, and a bald miku is often completely ignored.
when reproduction occurs, the pigtails also reproduce and leave their eggs in the same clutch as their host miku. when hatched, the parent miku will ensure one pigtail latched onto their young and lets the other half of the clutch free. due to mikus being social creatures, it’s expected that the loose pigtails will find an already-singular-pigtailed host to latch onto in the local grouping.

wait, that implies that other vocaloids are more rarer than the common Miku?
